He nodded. "I don't think we can blame them for never telling us this."

"Yeah. As much as I want to..." She sighed again and rubbed her face briefly. "Well, are we still going to ask for some answers?"

Tom took a deep breath. "...I think we should at least tell them that Rory told us this. Then see from there."

She nodded. "That .... That sounds fair. We can do that. See what happens from there."

"They deserve to know that Rory told us this. They'll probably apologise for not telling us right away... right?"

Lily nodded. "Yeah... Yeah... Of course. They would apologize..." She paused. "Right? That's what they would do...." She said softly. She wasn't so sure about it now.

Tom nodded, reassuring both her and himself. "Let's just get over there."

She nodded. "This is going to be a long night..." She said softly.

Tom nodded slowly. He hated to admit it, but his trust in his parents had been damaged by what Rory had said. To think his mother would be capable of the things Rory had said... it seemed unbelievable.

Lily fell silent and didn't speak the rest of the trip. She sighed softly to herself and turned on the radio to help fill the silence. She didn't want the things Rory said to be true but she knew with the right or in this case, wrong, childhood could affect you and make someone lash out but still ... Their own mother? And their father covered it up?! It was unbelievable.
