[M] Unexpected Deadly Romance (Me and NoviDome)

When they returned to Alicia's room, she had just gotten back from her brain scan and was still fast asleep in the bed. Lily told the nurse that they would all be staying the night with Alicia and the nurse gave her blankets and extra pillows.

Julian went over to Alicia's side and took her hand, stroking the back with his thumb. Tom stayed by the door.

[Sparkz]

Lily sat in the chair by the window and sighed. It was just a waiting game now.

Tom played with his phone in his pocket. Part of him wanted to talk to Robin, and another part of him wanted them not to know. He didn't want to drop more drama onto their shoulders.

[Sparkz]

A few moments later, Tom's phone went off. Robin had texted him saying. "Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you! "

Tom jumped a little when it buzzed, and looked at the message. This almost seemed like it couldn't be a coincidence. He blinked and read the message a couple of times before he could process it. He sighed softly, not sure what to do now. After hesitating for a while, He typed back: "I'm thinking of you too <3".

"I hope you're feeling better today. Maybe we can lunch or something tomorrow." They responded back.

[NoviDome]

"I'd like that. But I'm not sure I'll make it. I'll let you know." He rubbed his face and hit 'send'.

[Sparkz]

Robin didn't reply for a bit but after a couple of minutes, they responded. "Just let me know. Call me if you need some company."

[NoviDome]

"Will do, thank you," Tom replied, and pocketed his phone again. He did feel like seeing them, but he didn't want to leave the room. Also, he was afraid that if he started talking about it again, he'd break down all over again. And currently, he was at a sort of apathetic equilibrium that he felt like he could sustain for the night.
