Julian held her hand for a while, and eventually drifted off as well.
Tom walked home through the night, his hands in his pockets, only looking up from the ground when he needed to cross a street. His mind was all over the place, and he couldn't get it to settle on a single train of thought. His fingers played with his - new - phone. He had half a mind to call Robin, and about a quarter mind to try to find that big guy again. But he knew he would disappoint his family if he did that.
Alicia wasn't able to sleep long as her pain started to increase. She groaned softly and pressed the button she had been given to give her more pain medicine through her IV. She knew that it would make her sleep soon enough but while she was awake, she thought of Tom, hoping he made it home safe and sound.
Once morning came, her nurse woke her back up to take her vitals and to ask how she was feeling. The pain had returned to but she rated it low so she wouldn't have to get medicated as much. She needed her mind clear when she spoke with Tom. Plus, it would serve as punishment for hurting her family. The neck brace was also taken off of her as it was determined that her neck was fine save for some whiplash, making her muscles sore. Alicia moved her head around slowly and smiled at Julian and Lily. "Hey.... Did Tom make it home?" She asked softly. Once the nurse left the room to get her some breakfast.

Julian nodded. "I texted him a while ago. He'll be here in half an hour."
"Okay good. I just worry...." She sighed softly. "I.... Julian... Wh n Tom gets here, would you mind taking Lily to get breakfast?"

He squeezed her hand. "I know you do. I'll await my chance to talk with him."
