Julian briefly closed his eyes. These kids were too pure. Too good for them. "That is so sweet of you two."
"We missed you. You were gone for more than the weekend." Lily says.

"What did you do?" Tommy asked, playing with his eyepatch.
"We went shopping for presents for you kids. We also cuddled and watched TV. We didn't do too much. It was a mini vacation.'

Alicia chewed on her lip as she glanced at Julian. "Well... Sometimes mommy and daddy need to have alone time. We're back now and we can cuddle on the couch as a family, okay?"

"Okay," Tommy said softly. He didn't sound as happy anymore. However, the moment he saw the ice cream place through the window, he perked up and smiled. "Lily! What flavours are you getting?"
