"As many times as I recall this tale I cannot help but start in the town of Groun. For some it was merely the continuation of a much larger epic but without a doubt it is where this most mystical chapter begins..."

The kingdom of Shly is known for its many thoroughfares connecting the farmlands to the larger townships and cities that lead all the way to the capital, Hauldstein, that rests at the base of the Stormsurge Mountains. With such easy passage comes a booming economy as ore is mined and carted out beyond the kingdom's borders as a precious export. Military and adventurers alike use the dusty paths to both defend and quest for fame and fortune. Many of the towns have taken to the business of accommodating both and none so noteworthy as Groun.
Why Groun you ask? Well, that is where you, the most homely rag tag bunch of thrill seekers have made your homestead over the last two years. It was your motley crew that wandered in just before times became most dire. You defended the town from the Orc raiders and went so far to search out the snake's head and lop it off. After that you even managed to sniff out and prevent the Thilisk family's sinister plot to overtake the city. It was these acts that garnered the attention of the Hauldstein's Dwarven king: Baulweir Jadehair who honored you with the title of Champions of Groun.
Plot:Truthfully, for some of you the rest from your journey has been most welcome. It has given you time to think and reflect. For other's it has only proved that your life is most fulfilling away from any semblance of normalcy, and others still haven't been seen or heard from since the group decided to take time away from adventuring.
The bonds you had created over the years however are stronger than the most hardened diamonds, the deepest of magics, and the most frenzied of rages. Whether you realize it or not, the loom that is fate has already begun to spin your separate lives back together for the tapestry that chronicles your deeds is not at its end. The catalyst to the next quest of this band of heroes and vagabonds has already wandered into Groun.
Notes:So welcome everyone, or whoever is checking this out. This roleplay may be a bit different than others you've been in, because it is working from an established history that really isn't established. Your characters will have been adventuring together for years, so that means they know each other to some degree or another. How this is going to play out is that character applications will be open for three weeks. When you first submit a character you will leave the bonds section blank. As you begin to see other characters sheets submitted you and the others will have opportunity to converse and create those bonds for your characters. You can then edit them in. Feel free to go at it from any angle, the group doesn't have to be all chummy.
Secondly, if you decide you want to take a more magical archetype you will have to limit yourself to a specific circle of magic. Like illusion, or druidic, etc.
Thirdly, the realm this takes place in is high fantasy and I am giving a lot of freedom in terms of race and what kind of Deities exist.
Archetype: Think Class
Motive: Why have you adventured with this group?
Background: (over the last two years)
1. Understand that this will not be a quick rp. As in I will not be a quick poster. Plot specific posts will be made every two weeks or so, you do not have to limit yourself to one post between each plot post. A caveat to this is: co post with people if there will be a lot of character specific dialogue.
2. Follow RPA's rules
3. If you have a question ask it
4:Please don't abuse the freedoms given in the rp to metagame or godmod.
5. Understand that I will be editing things into this OP, so check back often.
6. I just want to have a good time writing, can you agree with me that this is what will strive to do? If so, mention in your CS somewhere Iona the Honeytongue
