Default Module Test 1011-3 (TheImposter vs Beta J- TBD)

Detroit, USA sometime in the future

It's odd how a place, like the metropolis that now is Detroit can be full of such a vast population and yet the only sound is a soft humming throughout. The technological marvels of the last century had radically changed the once booming manufacturing center into a strangely mimic of silicon valley. People walked along the streets but everyone's heads were caught up in the screens that illuminated ahead of them. A sudden thud on the outskirts of the city remained unnoticed by the self absorbed populace.

The strange container stood silent, before the pressure released inside and the tube unraveled revealing a slender android. The robotic humanoid remained unmoved, standing with its face towards the cityscape ahead of it.

"Alright Klaus, lets bring it online. Black Phoenix Consortium has their hand so far up our ass the sooner we get this done the better my colon will feel. Not like we've ever let a damn product escape though. Klaus?! HEY! Are you listening??!? Hell, it barely took us six months to narrow down the search radius to Detroit. Simply put, money doesn't buy real skill. KLAUS!!! Boot it up already."

    -zzztttt-

As Klaus began orchestrating the equivalent of a symphony at his keyboard the start up process of SR-Z1922. A soft voice echoed into conscience of the DysonCorp unit. Telling the soulless machine to awaken. Zeta...it is time to get to work. Assignment confirmed. Find and capture the android known as Beta. Use any means necessary. Enjoy SR-Z1922. With that the perception system booted up giving Zeta the first view in quite sometime. Zeta quickly dashed into the city as its layout was downloaded into its neural network. The tall and slender machine weaved itself through the streets as it began scanning for its new target.

    Just An Ordinary Day

Beta had been away from his home since the early morning hours. Public transit, much like in centuries past, still took forever and was rarely on time. To best prepare a surprise dinner for the folks he was now living with, he needed to leave early and allow plenty of time for potential delays on the bus and train. Still, he felt it was worth it. Few people in Detroit City would have taken in a complete stranger like they had done, so he figured a gesture of appreciation was in order. One of thenmany open-air markets was the perfect place to get fresh meat and produce, plus a special thank you gift... so that was where the young cyborg ended up.

Now, the young man had suffered many memory wipes and thus did not know much about cooking... but he had looked up a simple recipe for meatloaf that he was sure would make his new family happy. An hour after arriving, he had picked out the best cuts of pork and beef, a big sweet onion, several spices, and a bottle of home-made ketchup. All that was left was the thank you gift. For that, Beta went to a vendor who had some lovely faux-silver trinkets. Real silver was highly regulated and very expensive, but fake silver was still pretty. Having looked over the trinkets, he had narrowed it down to three potential winners. Little did the young man know that his pleasant day would be turned on its head just before he could come to his final decision.

    Enjoy SR-Z1922

The voice seemingly echoed inside the machine's head. Although it paid little attention to the words, it was strange for the AI system to articulate that the unit could feel, let alone have a sense of elation over anything. The sleek combat unit sped over the top of the city, hopping to and fro as it scanned for its target. As it turned its heel and began scanning down the more active shopping district, it's lifeless gaze settled on a vendor and man conversing.

Zeta watched from a rooftop to the south east, it's head nodding slightly as it's ocular sensor focused and tried to read the lips of the two. Although the distance wasn't that far, the accent of the two was unusual for the DysonCorp unit to piece the conversation together. Such data was often dumped after a mission, as it had no need to understand the pleading of targets.

    ...gifffttts

Locking it's legs the machine began channeling for a surprise attack. It's arms began to produce a vacuum as they pulled back unnaturally far for any human. The dead space around them began to fill with a magical essence creating two crescents. In an instant the blades were released one following after the other. As they sliced through the air towards the two conversing the angles shifted slightly so the latter titled and spun picking up velocity.
