Even though the day had just started. As they wandered furhter into the forest, it got darker and gloomyer by the minute. It was as if the forest by itself was carrying a heavy weight on its shoulders. The wardens had chatted about their children before, but as they came closer to the large lake, the more silent they fell. Even Phillip, who seemed unbothered by anything and everything kept himself from telling Melia about his latest food adventures, and how he would bake and cook her any meal if she ever came to visit.
Salvador did not notice how his stride became shorter, how he was walking fast first but almost stood still as he was to come closer and closer to this lake where the Prince himself was seen last. Only a few crows let out a few caws before flying off, letting their Warden know that the prince was still at the lake.
it was as if you walked into a fairytale. As soon as they came close enough to the lake they could see this magical landscape. It was full of life, every single flower was blooming, the tree's full of leaves. One could hear frogs happily chat to one and other as giant fish swam close to the surface. It was absolutely breathtaking. A few deer gently hopped away as their calfs curouisly looked at the newcomers. Inside the large lake stood a small island, with two giant white tree's with gold liek leafs who seems eachothers reflection. Each branch was copied by the other. The wolfwarden, close to Melia as he wanted to keep her company, gently whispered into her ear 'Someone is in a better than horrid mood...' he told her gently, both his tumbs up as he tried to make her feel more at ease.
As soon as the group halted at the shore, a heavy neigh could be heard all around them. The horses who had seemed unbothered at first, pulled themselves loose before gallopping off to join the deer. The ground was softly shaking as the island in the middle of the lake started moving, slowly coming closer towards the group. "Why did you bring ... him... here" a low voice said irritated as it surrounded them.
