after the embarrassment of the first weekly report, and people managed to hold back their teasing, the following Day Nick was settling to his desk in his tent, writing a day 7 entry. Pretty much explaining he'd been slightly embarrassed the day before, then noted a few details that he deemed important about the previous day. afterwards he sighed and thought for a moment. Maybe Sif wasn't that good a fit anyway. She didn't seem overly interested... but neither was she overly hostile either. she just... didn't seem to really care. He stared at the wall as he thought for a moment, here he was, 35 years of age, and the closer he got to 40, the more he worried he wouldn't find someone who would actually stick. He lightly clasped the pendant around his neck that was normally under his uniform, a locket in the shape of a heart, inside the locket was a photograph of a pretty young woman, and on the same chain as the locket was his and her engagement rings. He allowed himself a moment of sorrow while holding the locket to his chest where his heart was.
