It was like whatever evil was taking over the city knew there was still fresh blood to be spilt and black fire rose all around them. Namoi gasped and covered her mouth with her trembling hands so she wouldn’t scream and give away their hidden position. She spun around as she tried to find a way out of the fire that raged around them with no luck. Naomi turned and looked to Joshua for an answer to their new dilemma, he was pretty good at keeping her ass safe, but he was…praying?!

“Joshua!” Namoi whispered as she rushed to his side. “I’m a Christian woman, but I don’t think God is just going to rid us of these fires!” She could feel the panic inside her rising as Joshua continued to pray frantically and the fires still continued to flare up. This is it…this is how my night is going to end. I remember hearing that burning alive is the most painful way to die…

Namoi raised an eyebrow at Joshua has he drew the sword from his side. “I think it’s water that fights fires…not…swords…” She didn’t know why she was being snarky in this moment, but she couldn’t help it! The man was shouting religious phrases at the fire and swinging his sword at it, she was beginning to think that her knight in shining armor was wrapped in tin foil.

“Learn about each other? We could fry to death!” She had given up on keeping quiet as her fear was beginning to take over. Her fearful eyes scanned around one last time in hopes of finding a way out, but had no luck. However, she did notice that fiery walls weren’t closing in on them, the flames just stayed in place acting like a cage.

“I’m sorry, Joshua, I didn’t mean to snap at you,” Naomi said once she realized that burning alive wasn’t going to happen, whatever caused the fire was also keeping it in place. She turned her attention back to Joshua and offered an apologetic smile, “I’m Naomi.”

Things moved almost in a blur, but the Serine still managed to keep up with things. An unknown enemy had appeared by the woman's side, emerging from a shadow. Another had proceeded to spread a cloud of death everywhere. Either way, he knew he had found himself up against two very dangerous enemies, and he knew that if he didn't get things over with quickly, he'd be facing a bigger inconvenience than he wanted to.

He was still moving at a breakneck pace towards his now-fallen quarry when the first threat made itself apparent when it fired off a couple shots with a small pistol -- a Watcher, by the feel of things. Not good. While this was really bad, he also realized that the Watcher coming alone to face him down was proof that his quarry (the unknown vampire woman) was someone of incredible importance. If I'm gonna do something, it has to be NOW. He knew he was closer, and he broke into a mad sprint that was only enhanced by his full strength, given to him by all the enemies whose life forces he had just consumed earlier.

He was nearly at his target, when the situation was only complicated by the emergence of yet another powerful threat on the field of battle. An unknown enemy (powerful, by the looks of it) materialized near the Queen's side. With his cloud of death, he had already threatened to take out Adrian's support, and that wasn't so good either. In the midst of the chaos, he threw off a quick signal that gave his supporting Vampyre leave to withdraw if things got too rough.

If this wasn't complicated enough, the unknown Vampyre woman at his feet suddenly released an incredibly toxic gas nearby, that threatened to immediately kill anything coming into its vicinity. Well, shit! He was already moving like a lion chasing down wounded prey, and he knew he'd be on top of it before he could stop and turn around.

It was then that he instantly hit it off with a solution: he didn't have to fight when his whole reason for being there was a scout-and-run mission. Still, he wanted a prize, and this woman -- despite the extreme danger her gas barrier posed -- simply lay there unconscious like some sort of irresistible treasure dangling in front of his face.

He reached the woman just as one enemy completed his emergence and had launched his death-cloud-spell-thing, and the other was still sprinting towards his position. Then, he let loose a blast of mana just potent enough to clear the gas and grab her leg before anyone else could recover from the chaos...

The instant he blew aside enough of the gas to grab her ankle, he let another, this time extremely powerful Death Ray loose in their general direction. The explosion he created was a display of the extreme amounts of energy he kept in reserve. This powerful spell would be sure to vaporize just about anything that couldn't resist its power, and still blast away nearly anything that could. It was also a testament to how harsh of a blast he could tolerate, as he did indeed detonate his personal nuke right on top of himself.

This time, Adrian decided to let his own spell tear him off his feet, launching him away from that spot with ridiculous and impossible speed... All the while, the woman was not only pushed in the same direction by the sheer force of Death Ray's blast radius, but also dragged very unceremoniously by Adrian, who had a death grip on her ankle while the two were sent flying far away from the explosion's source... and away from her booby trap, which was already re-forming around the distortion he created with both his blasts.

If all things went well, the other two would be down for the count JUST long enough for Adrian to successfully claim his prize. and run off. If in the very unfortunate event those two were strong enough to survive a taste of his full power, he still had enough momentum to stay on top of the fight he just triggered, not to mention the distance needed to run off with his quarry if he needed to. Not to mention, his men were on their way to this spot by now...

By slowing his hastened pace, by several meters per second, he quickly gained light of the situation as it had currently escalated to something that he was not prepared to deal with on his own. 'Reapers,' he thought as he came to a slow, deliberate, stop just on the edge of a deadly gas zone that threatened to annihilate anything that touched it.

He quickly began to realize that this was a match made for Serines, and other such fantastical creatures, and that interfering with such a fight could mean certain death for him. So, he immediately kept his distance. He knew, just from the air of combat alone, that this was way out of his league.

'This is only going to get worse,' he thought as he slowly began to run in the other direction, 'We have to prepare for the worse.' By that point, he was in a full sprint towards the nearest building where he ascended to its rooftops and ran in a given direction, not even caring what happens to the battle as it currently stands.

Michael P Crusnik: The Middle of London

Michael was enjoying his boost of power thanks to the queens killing fields when he heard her last words before she passes out. "Go to hell Michael."
At any other time he would have laughed off her words however Malia released a her last burst of power. He couldn't decide if it was in a attempt to kill him or simply a defensive measure, regardless that question was the least of his worries. "Oh Shit!!! Help Me...... Lefty!!"

Michael yelled out in a panic being already too familiar with the poisonous Gas. The reaper was normally cool and collected with a majorly powerful carefree attitude. Still he knew very well how strong its corrosive effect is having seen her kill others with it in the past. He didn't want to see how well his body could stand up to it. With his yell Michael already commanded his shadow to rise up his body and expand outwards in waves to ward off the poison. However this wasn't even enough as it was very quickly eating through the shadow waves. Fortunately Michael's shout also awoken the thing residing in his left hand. " You started this mess Michael, why must i save you?" On Michael's raised left palm a mouth and eyes could be seen opening. Lefty's eyes seemed a midnight black beady yet filled with a old wisdom. The mouth seemed toothless and was quickly pulling in the air around it along with the corrosive cloud. Michael barely managed to relax as the mouth sucked in majority of the poison safely tucking it into his pocket dimension before going to sleep. "call me when needed it." He silently transmitted to Michael before his eyes shut.

A dark look quickly crossed Michael's face as he surveyed the scene around him. There was many things going on at once but Michael's strong mental abilities and judgement made everything clear before his eyes. From Malia, the serine nuance, the watcher, and servant Alexia. Knowing her personality he could easily guess why she was rushing towards them however with the current situation Michael couldn't guarantee her life and she was practically useless to him. All of this nearly instantly crossed Michaels mind as his judgement and perception made the sequence of events seem slow to him. "Return with your potions, alchemy, and antidote for the queens poison. Lastly don't get in my way or get yourself killed here nontron." Michael said directly in Alexia's brain while one of his portals appeared right below her. It deposited Alexia directly in her room clearly assisting her in getting exactly what he wanted.

Michael also realized that the enemy had managed to make use of him blocking his own vision to protect himself from the queens poison. The Serine was already trying to make off with Malia. He had punched through the weakened poison cloud and even turned to shoot off a blast of energy at Michael while he gained some distance on them.

Poison Clouds from his own master. The watcher who apparently thought it smarter to get away from them, and this arrogant yet powerful serine who thought he could get away with Michael's Queen. The reaper rarely felt emotions but this time he was highly amused and also slightly annoyed. This serine would not be allowed to get away with her. Raising both his hands Michael pulls up his own shadow to embrace his self just before the blast hits his location. Empowered by shadows and the power of the night Michael takes of like a arrow let loose from a bow. Half falling in and out of the ground he disappears from view on the far left of his original location only to appear flying from one shadow to kick the Serine in his side.

There was no shift to unconscious as Malia's body lay still on the battlefield. Instead, her mind was fully conscious to itself, blanketed by her voices and wishes, her past and future, her memories and everything that she had ever shut out, all in a gray fog over her mind, blocking out any senses over than thought. Behind her lay everything from her past with the memory of the slaughter closest to her, floating in a bubble. Thousands of other bubbles floated behind her, many of them fogged over like the ones in front of her. None of these called for her attention in this moment, though. One particular bubble a few meters in front of her was lit up, drifting towards her amidst the others. Within it, Malia could only distinguish one detail. Alexia.

Malia reached out and cupped the bubble in both hands, causing it to burst and envelope her in its entirety.

Alexia seemed to have just arrived in the area. She seemed different, confident. There was a black streak through her hair, and her eyes, though wide open as though seeing the entire world at once, were darker. She radiated power and strength. Turning towards Malia, her eyes bore into her. Malia could feel her piercing gaze. She could sense her mind and memories being sifted through.

While running, a portal opened up under Alexia, throwing her unceremoniously into her own room. Michael's message reverberated in her mind, and all she could reply with was, "Dammit Michael, no warning at all."

Standing from the crumpled heap she landed in, Alexia moved effortlessly to gather her materials. She snatched the bag sitting by the head of her bed, gathered several recipes she didn't know by heart as well as the corresponding herbs, and several vials containing various potions including a half-produced antidote, acid, and her healing potions.

Alright, Michael, care to let me back now? Of course, she knew Michael wouldn't just let her back when she wanted back. Knowing him, she would be stranded on the opposite side of the flames until he bothered to bring her back. As such, she sat on her bed with her bag strapped safely around her waist, waiting for the inevitable second plummet Michael would send her through. I'm not that useless, am I? she thought to herself. How have I survived as a nontron this long otherwise?

Pfft. It figures that this son of a bitch would survive. Adrian took the kick to his side like a champ, but retaliated with a vicious blast straight to his enemy's face. He wanted to save some power to deal with this Serine he held in his far hand when she woke up, but it was obvious that he had to go all out... and recover by glutting off the lives of his enemies later.

Speaking of which, he knew that the ultimate source of mana was probably clutched in his free hand. He could sense that this was no ordinary Vampyre he happened to capture. If he took her life force while fighting this guy, there would be no doubt he'd win. On the other hand, he wanted a strong ally, and so the last thing he wanted was for her to find out she'd literally been drained of her immortal life force, not just blood.

This shadow guy, whatever he was, made a grave mistake by pissing off two Serines in one night. It was plain to see that this man seemed to be a very fresh enemy of this Vampyre. Was he a rebellious servant trying to keep his hide in a pretense to "save" his mistress? If this was the case, then there could be no holding back. Making a quick executive decision, Adrian decided to ally with this stranger, sensing more potential force than could be gained even by draining her life out of her body.

The Serine unceremoniously tossed his quarry into the hands of his very swift Mystic Vampyre retainer; he knew what to do. The swift Vampyre caught her, and ran off with unbelievable speed towards the safety of their private army by using magic power granted to him earlier that very night by his master. At this exact moment, he used his free hand to put out a blast so powerful that it shook the ground. The force of the blast was so potent that it let the Vampyre start bolting towards the force waiting to protect this now-valuable "messenger."

With both his hands free, he was now more than happy to pick a full-on fight, even if it was merely to test this person's power a little. Adrian could tell this one was a worthy foe... but he had the edge in the fact that he wasn't nearly close to panicking. Once again, he put forth the full power of his God's Eye spell on his foe, this time with the intent of suppressing his opponent with emotions of fear.

    Default Death is Swift

Michael P Crusnik: The Middle of London

With a grunt Michael let his foot sink into his opponent, and clearly saw the Serine was intent on retaliating. This didn't trouble or worry the Reaper as his attacks was never so simple as purely physical. With his kick Michael sent spikes of pain straight into his opponents brain. Still he wasn't going to wait to see it's effects as he had a point blank blast of energy gush towards him. Still his opponent vastly underestimated his strength. The shadows under his chin, between the nook of his arms and all the other small shadows typically cast by a person was gathered and expelled outwards by Michael to counter the blast in a attempt to block it. Yet the colliding of such power still tossed Michael back and gave him enough time to escape with minor bruises.

Michael found it amusing that his opponent still thought he could cart Malia off despite the black Flames Michael had Surrounded their perimeter with. It was indeed a potent wall as it was created using Deaths over flowing power. The flames itself created from Shadows, while powers used against it tended to be more fuel for the fire. To his surprise the person Malia was handed off to was indeed very swift, yet could anyone out run their own shadow?

Sinking into the ground Michael immediately gave chase by rising up from the vampires own shadow. No matter where he went his own shadow would follow. So Michael was never truly worried about them escaping but just in case his first blow to this swift vampire was a vicious swipe of his nails to the achilles heel of both legs. he would continue to swipe at the poor messenger as he rises up with both his claws. It was clear he intended to slice up his opponent from the bottom up but what was even more fear some about this attack was the slicing pain preceding it as Michael telepathically attacked his opponent.

Needless to say Michael felt a telepathic focus on himself. Someone wanted him to feel fear. Yet Death itself was nearly in capable of feeling fear nor any other mental attack for that matter. His opponents would quickly realize when he felt the brick wall that was Michael's mind. Even if the reaper decided to let him in the endless maze and near impenetrable mental defense he had could lead one on a quick path to insanity.

"Death is swift, Death is relentless, death is absolute, and above all death is in-movable for in the end. Death!" Michael clearly berated them as he fought.

Joshua Joel Trust:Random Alley(middle of london)

Joshua couldn't help but smile as he heard the beautiful lady name. It was weird to befriend someone and yet not even know that much about them. At the same time Joshua couldn't help but look back towards sounds of battle and waves of energy pulsing from a battlefield. He wasn't sure who it was but the felt powerful and was likely the cause of the flaming walls keeping them in. with this in mind he smiles at Noami before pointing in the direction of the battle.

"Well Noami if you can but trust in God and his servants i think we can get out of this by going that way,"

While his words and tone of voice sounded reasonable enough. The loud noises coming from that direction and fanatical look in his eye would make even the bravest of people slightly worried.

Her own memories being sifted through by Alexia? No, that wasn't possible. Alexia was a Nontron, a weak, defenseless servant without powers. Her only strong point was her potions. Indeed, it couldn't be be her wielding this power.

    It wasn't.

Michael followed suit shortly after, locking eyes with her. Indeed, it was his presence in her mind. "Michael," she growled. She had had enough of his disobedience. Without hesitation, she began marching towards Michael. The sensation within her mind dispersed within a moment, leaving Malia rearing with blood full of vengeance.

Boredom very quickly enveloped Alexia. There was nothing for her to do as she didn't know when Michael would summon her. As such, sitting on the edge of the bed wasn't enough for her. She stood and paced from one end of the room to the other. How much longer?

"Michael!" She yelled out. "When are you going to let me back already?!" She couldn't stand being forced to wait while everyone else was actually doing something. I'm NOT useless, she thought. I can help. I know I can. What's more, she knew Michael could hear her. He kept tabs on everyone. And if he continued to ignore her, she would march back to the flames and wait there. Even if she knew there was no way she was getting through on her own. At least then she would be doing something. Anything.

The stakes were obviously high. Adrian had gotten the full scope of his opponent's strength now, thanks to his shrugging off of his God's Eye ability. His mental defenses were strong, and thankfully Adrian's own telepathic abilities were decidedly one-way. All he did was infect a person's mind, not infiltrate it. Even so, it was becoming clear that he was up against someone quite a lot more powerful than average. If the attack on his messenger wasn't enough, then it was the way this person fought that indicated an additional hint of desperation about him -- even if he didn't know it yet.

Still, there was a silver lining. Even as Adrian's loyal Vampyre servant ran off and was getting attacked viciously, he was healing rapidly. While he wouldn't last much longer, it would still be enough for his quarry to wake up again and join the fray once more. He could already tell that his prize was stirring, and it was clear by now that she wouldn't be nearly as much his prisoner, as she would be his ally in this round of fighting. Even while the Vampyre sacrificed himself for his master, his target -- obviously a very powerful one to make Adrian's worthy opponent cause such a fuss -- was waking up.

That thought in his mind, he immediately realized that this was no longer a mission to capture someone. It was a seek-and-destroy mission, and one to be completed before she woke up and potentially mistake him as an enemy. Time to cut loose. He decided to simply not hold back. This Reaper obviously wasn't intent on letting Adrian get away -- target or not. Neither did the Serine expect something as kind as that from someone claiming to be Death incarnate. Let's see how you deal with the bane of life itself.

As the two recovered, Adrian pointed his outstretched palm towards the Reaper, and let loose an even more powerful Death Ray in his direction than he'd previously fired. He was just getting warmed up though, and unless his target woke up, he'd probably be forced to destroy much more than just the immediate area to effect a good escape... if it came down to it.
