Default When Worlds cross (P.K. X Numbers) PG-13 (IC)

A few hours had passed since the strange women had been brought in, She laid quietly in one of the rooms on the 10th floor over looking many of the other buildings including that including the police station just across the street.

The detectives had gathered what little deviance there was at the scene but could only shake their heads hopping the women could shed more light on the situation she'd been found in.

A Robot set at the front desk taking calls and organizing files as Doctors and nurses checked on patients and conversed quietly in the halls. Last they had Checked the women had still been fast sleep. Her Physical injuries had been minor compared to what they could have been and were easily treated. Now all there was to do was to wait and see if she had any unseen injuries.

The women set up in her bed quietly and looked around the unfamiliar space. She felt a calm fall over her even though strangely she couldn't recall anything. She looked around the room slowly her grey eyes taking in the scene inquisitively. This didn't seem right but she couldn't put her finger on why... Her head turned to the window as she heard something she could only describe as distant thunder.

Slowly she pushed the white covers back and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. She stood slowly feeling her body slowly adjust before she walked over. Reaching out her fingers brushed the soft fabric before she pulled it aside. What was on the other side made her eyes winded. She reached out towards the sparkling lights but her hand met something else, something cool to the touch and see through.

All she could do was stare but as her mind moved searching for answers and solutions her free hand came to her head a look of pain crossing her face for a moment. Why? The questions were why? where? and who was she?

Etmere was at the front desk of the hospital. He had just finished talking to the robot that was handling reception and he was waiting for the computer system to pull up his file and clearance. As he waited he looked over the papers that the chief had handed him. It was one of the weirder cases that he has been handed in quite a while. He had only been on the force for a few years and already he got the more tougher and weirder cases. Granted that was partially because of who he was. Seeing his kind on the police force was a very rare thing. Most of his race served in the peace keeping army and navy. Protecting planets, hunting pirates, making sure smaller galactic nations get along.

"Sir you are clear to see the requested patient." The robot then proceeded to give him directions to the correct room. Etmere nodded and went to the elevator hitting the button for the tenth floor. As he stood there in the elevator his two tails swayed from side to side gently. He was thinking about whether or not his contacts in the military might have some information relevant to this case. He would just have to wait and see on what the woman could tell him.

Upon reaching the tenth floor he showed his badge to anyone who questioned why he was up there. He slowly made his way to the room where the patient was. They informed him that she was probably asleep. If she was then he would still go into the room just to make some observations on her while he waited for her to wake. Especially since it is currently unknown if she is a threat to people or not. He knocked on the door of the room and waited for a response to his knock. With his knock he also spoke up. "Are you awake?"

She had been staring out the window when she head a knock, that was a familier sound. A voice she didn't recognize followed asking if she was awake. She took a moment and looked over herself, she was wearing something that was for sure but she wasn't sure she'd call it decent in company, specially male company. She moved back towards the bed as her voice stirred the air inside the quite room. "I'm awake."

She pulled the blanket around her shoulders as she set back down on the bed making sure she was covered by the blanket as she watched the door keenly. The room was dimly light by the lights outside of the window but outside itself was also growing dark. Perhaps this visitor, the first person she'd seen since waking, would have some answers for her.

She waited for the door open watching for the man she expected to walk through, though when she set eyes on her guest her eyes widened a fraction But she didn't say anything. From the moment she'd woken she'd felt displaced, but the calm that had settled over her had made her realize that Panicking in this situation could be a dangerous scenario. It felt natural to be calm in a situation of inward turmoil. Though questions weighted heavily on her mind She couldn't allow herself to be swamped with the worry, one step at a time.

Her dark eye met his for a moment but there was nothing familier about them or him. "Where am I?" She asked calmly.

He walked in when she said that she was awake. He smiled at her with a warm sort of smile before closing the door behind him and pulling one of the chairs in the room to sit in it across from her. His tails moved to wrap lightly around his leg, one tail for each leg, when he sat down. "You're in a hospital. To be more specific you're on planet earth, in the city of Seattle." After answering her question he wrote some notes on his paper about her. She was acting calm which was a good thing so far.

"My name is Detective Etmere, of the Cross District Task Unit, or CDTU for short. Do you remember your name?" He asked watching her. His canine fox like eyes watched her gently and his ears would twitch every once and a while. Depending on her answers she may have to stay in the hospital or she may be taken home. The doctors opinion of her health will also help decide on which choice will be used for her.

So far though, besides how they found her, everything else seemed to be normal. Etmere was hoping that this case was something that would be easier to clear up and that it would be done in a few hours after he takes her home hopefully.

The women pressed her lips into a thin line as she thought. A Hospital? Earth sounded Familiar, Seattle did not. She rolled the words around in her mind for a moment picking them apart trying to fuel something, recognize more. But nothing fit, or clicked into the blank canvas in her mind. There was vague impressions, colors and feelings but nothing solid.

She turned her attention back to him as he introduced himself. Her eyes studying him quietly as he watched her, waiting for an answer. The unfortunate truth of it was she didn't have one. "No, I do not." She replied as she continued to think. She tipped her head further in his direction and closed her eyes as she crossed her arms under the blanket. She had Knowledge, basic things and ideas, she could still function but there were only vague impressions of herself under this cloud or mist that she just couldn't push through.

"Perhaps, Tell me what you know." She said thoughtfully. If she could jog her memory the rest should come back... She hopped.

"Well we know very little about your situation right now. We were actually hoping that you would be able to help us by giving us information. Based on reports from witnesses it seems like you fell from the tallest building in the city. Normally that would kill someone before they even hit the ground but yet, here you are. The only other information we really know about you is what you had on you and information we were able to observe about you. For example you appear to be a healthy human female. You appear to be in your early twenties based on general tests. We know you were found with what appears to be weapons made of metal. Steel to be specific. Which is a metal you usually see in areas that are more poverty like since they can't afford the stronger materials."

He went through his files some until he found the pictures of the stuff that was found on her, the building that she supposedly fell from, and the site where they found her. He held the files out for her to grab. He then wrote some more notes on the paper he had on him. For the most part the police force mainly used virtual screens that came from their gear. However, they also kept physical copies of everything and since this woman was found without any of the modern technology they decided to go the paper route since that was what usually worked better with the people of the slums and poverty.

The women frowned. So he didn't have answers either... she looked up as he continued to speak, she took in this information mulling it over slowly. She fell, which must mean she had hit her head correct? That could be the reason for the blank canvas in her mined. Of coarse her head was healed and seemed perfectly fine. She mused as she gently felt her forehead in thought. human Female, that was obvious enough... around her twenties seemed right.

"A weapon?" She murmured feeling a ping before she closed her eyes for a moment more a strained look passing over her features before it faded away and she looked up to see him passing the paper copies to him. Poverty like huh? That seemed strange but she had nothing to back up why. She looked through the pictures slowly taking in the details with interest. Unfamiliar, that's all she felt, she was on unfamiliar ground and she pushed the rising panic trying to push its way up her throat. Swallowing it back her eyes fell on the Pictures of the weapons.

She lingered on the Photos for a moment, her hands itching the wrap her fingers around the hilt. It was differently familier, intimately familier. A part of her remembered it, mostly her body though her mind tried to grasp at the threats of the missing tapestry. If she took a step back and looked at all of these pieces if painted a puzzling pictuer.

there was so much missing But there were strands here and there that didn't make sense as they hoovered the blank spaces. Like someone had ripped a massive part of the tapestry away from her, but she didn't know where to find it. The pieces where here somewhere. "I'm afraid I can't shed more light, I don't remember falling." She said honestly as she peered at the other photos of the items that were supposedly hers. Theses are familier though." She said touching the pictuer. She felt like these items were important. "Where are they?" she asked looking to Etmere.

"They're at the police station in the evidence lockup. Since they had the theme of weapons we decided that in case you were hostile we would take them under our care until we decided whether or not you were hostile. As of right now you seem to not be hostile. Based on the results of all of this, I think it might be wise to take you to the station and let you see the items to see if they help bring back some of your memories." He stood up from where he was sitting and his tails unwinded from his legs and began to sway from side to side lightly. He took the pictures he gave her back and put them back into the folder of papers.

"I'll speak with the nurses and have them bring you some actual clothes to change into. Then while you change, I'll talk to the doctor and have you placed in my care while we work on getting this mess sorted out for you." He said with another warm smile before walking out of the room and closing the door behind him. He quickly found the doctor and some nurses. He informed the nurses to bring the strange women some clothes and began filling paperwork out with the doctor in order to get the patient transferred into his own care for now so that he could work to help solve this case.

She watched as the Etmere stood and began to leave. The strangest thing, was the twin tails at his back they almost were the most startling thing so far. She set for a moment and contemplated while he was gone before the nurses came in with a change of cloths for her. It was strange but easy to understand, so with only a little help she dressed herself before being escorted out to meet back with the Detective.

The halls were brightly lit as she came out and followed the nurses into a strange tiny room that didn't have any other doors, she was confused until they pressed a button and she could feel the room shift. It made her stagger only a little but using the handy bars at the side she caught herself on the unfamiliar ground and righted herself quickly.

"Be careful, wouldn't want you hitting your head again." One of the nurses told her quietly and she nodded in agreement. "That would be bad." The door finely opened and she stepped out into the lobby, one nurse split off but the other waved her to follow to the front where the Detective should be. This place was strange, felt and looked strange to her.

Etmere looked at the woman with a smile. "Looking much better. The doctor agreed to transfer you into my care. Thankfully the police station is just across the road from the hospital so we only have to cross the road." He walked over to her. "I would prefer to not call you this woman, so while you don't remember your name, is there a name you would like me to call you by instead? Or shall I just come up with a name to call you until you remember your name?"

While he was waiting for the nurses to get her the clothes earlier he had also sent a message to his chief to pull the evidence from the evidence locker and to take it to his office so that he could show the girl on a more efficient scale. He had also sent a message to the chief that she didn't remember her name and that unless she remembered from seeing the items, they would have to run an ad on the video feeds asking for information on the lost woman.
