Q: What are your interests?
A: I'm into a lot of things, but my RP interests are mainly Horror/Mature, Fantasy, or just Realistic RPs. Though honestly, if the plot and characters are good, I'm down for anything. I'll even do a Parody RP once in a while!
(God knows I used to love them Kingdom Hearts AUs.)
Q: Where do you take inspiration from?
A: A lot of things! My biggest idols, when it comes to cinema and storytelling, are Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino. I know, I know - two very opposite art directions, but I love them both! Nolan for his gritty, realistic mind-boggling masterpieces and Tarantino for his amazing dialogue, creative characters, blood and gore, and overall hilarious violence!
(my favorite movies are Inception, Interstellar, Django Unchained, Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight and The Dark Knight.)
As for other media, I adore video games and I let video games inspire me all the time. Some of my all-time favorites are the Kingdom Hearts series, GTA, Red Dead Redemption, the Dishonored series, Assassin's Creed, the Batman: Arkham series, and Telltale's The Wolf Among Us.
Q: What are you looking for in a RP partner?
A: Devotion, basically. I crave someone who is committed to the RP. If you're gonna half-ass the thing, well, then sorry, pal, but the half-ass club is on the other side of the street.
Now, this doesn't mean I expect daily posts or that you
have to push aside everything in order to get a post out, in fact, it means the opposite!
Personal life always comes before the RP life. I cannot stress this enough. Got something coming up and can't post? Not a problem, just let me know in time.
Just don't disappear on me, is all. I know that may sound hypocritical because I used to be a drop-out a LOT in my past RP years, but I have (hopefully) changed my ways.
Q: What are you looking for in terms of grammar and writing?
A: I don't mean to sound elitist here, but honestly? Close to top-notch. Especially when it comes to 1x1s. I consider myself fairly decent in the English language and though I'm not the greatest writer in the world, I sure can put effort in my posts if I wish to do so. And I wish to do so when it comes to 1x1s.
TL;DR: I expect posts of at least two paragraphs. I also expect you to have a decent sense of formatting and grammar. Spelling errors tend to trigger the shit out of me, fam.
Q: What does someone
need to know before engaging in a 1x1 with you?
A: Right, so - I tend to be quite...
direct. I'm not one to sugarcoat things - if a character wants to say fuck, they're gonna say fuck. The same goes for racial slurs; if it fits the character, they're gonna use it. That's not me being provocative, it's me being true to the story and the characters. I've often gotten warnings on this site that I should be more careful with my language, and I agree, but I'm not going to do so when it comes to writing. I simply don't sugarcoat.
Another thing is that I can't stand 'slice-of-life' RPs. They just bore me. Now if it's a slice-of-life RP with a touch of weirdness or fantasy, that I can work with. Also, let's talk Romance RPs real quick. Usually, I always turn down a Romance RP. They're often cheesy and corny and just not my thing. But again, if there's a twist to it, I might be intrigued.
And finally, some things I absolutely WON'T do: I will not engage in any form of sexual writing. Satisfy your kinks elsewhere. If there is a sexual scene, I will want it to be short and most likely a timeskip. This isn't because I'm a prude or anything like that, I just don't find it interesting to write. I come here to write stories, not write pornography.
If it's relevant to the plot however, I might consider it. But then it has to be different than just a simple sex scene.
I will also not write anything yaoi or BDSM. Just not my thing.
Aight, let's get to the juicy stuff.
