Gazing at the angel, Albertus continued to stroke her bare back, caressing her with his hands and nodding. "I don't like to see you in pain..." he remarked with a frown. "I hope the pain dies down with more practice, but... when we're alone together, I want you to feel free to stretch your wings. They're quite beautiful, after all, and I like to see them."
Slowly he wrapped an arm around her waist and began to walk her back upstairs to the bedrooms. "I believe your fatigue to be more of a side effect of your weakened condition. I'm not sure if you need human food or not, but I'll have some brought up to you so that you can at least try it." With that, he glanced over to the servant Martha and gave a slight smile. "Would you prepare some food and have it brought up for us, Martha? I'd appreciate it."
Once he had brought the angel up to the bedroom, he nodded and gestured for her to sit on the side of the bed. "Well... the basic gist is that Zion is on the brink of war. This small country seems to be always at war with someone, but so far, they've managed to withstand every attack and ward off all invasions... even the crusaders, with their advanced military technology, were unable to gain ground on Zion soil."
Sitting across from her, he noted that this position gave him a clear view up her short dress as the angel had little experience in covering herself. Trying not to stare too much, he continued, "The alliance between my Empire and Zion aside, war always tends to cause the most destruction to those who are not directly involved... common folk, working class people who only try to survive. These are the people who I want to protect at all costs... and I'll leave the politics of it all to the politicians. The minister advised me to do a few things... which I won't be doing. I do things my way, after all."
He wondered if the whole "command her to do as you please" suggestion by Elishama was a test or not. The main reason why Nephilim were considered to be so evil, after all, was because the vast majority of them were as a result of impure relationships with tainted angels... commanded to do things they did not wish, and unable to resist the command due to the taint, and with said taint corrupting the offspring of unions. Sexual relations were not, in themselves, impure acts... but the reasoning behind them could purify or corrupt the act by its very nature. The physical expression of love was a pure act, yet the selfish act of lust was corrupt and impure.
