Gazing at the young idol as she entered the room, Bob had difficulty finding his words. This wasn't unusual for him... he never was particularly good at talking to girls, and Saki was far more beautiful than most. "Hello..." he said to her eventually, trying not to stare too much at her and returning his attention to the performance that Emi and Hoshi were putting on. "Yes..." he said in agreement to her words. The two nekos were indeed performing as well as could be hoped for. Even the usually shy Hoshi was able to avoid making any major mistakes in her routine, despite her frilly pink underwear showing from time to time as she danced.

His attempts to avoid being too distracted by the beautiful idol in the room eventually proved impossible, however, as he soon found her hands on his shoulders, making it impossible not to notice her. Gazing at Saki, it eventually registered in his head that she had asked him a question. "I am," he said, giving a nod as he placed his hands in his lap as if to hide something.

One of the older girls, Saki was also one of the most impossible not to notice... she seemed to attract the attention of everyone in the room when she entered, including Bob. Her talent and presence were the reason why he had decided to give her a solo routine, as none of the other girls could keep up with her... at least, not yet. Plus, most of the other girls looked up to her and admired her, similar to the way they looked at Destiny.

Saki gave the man's shoulders a gentle squeeze before she let go, taking a step back from his seat to walk around to take a seat next to the man. "Are you alright, manager-san? You look a little tense," she murmured, tilting her head at the man with a curious expression. She had picked up on Bob's slight awkwardness around the girls, but she found it rather endearing, in a way. She could also tell, without having to be told directly, just how much he cared about each of the groups that he managed.

She was sitting close enough that their shoulders would brush occasionally, but her focused was turned back to the performance. "Hoshi seems to be getting the hang of things a bit better. She's becoming a bit less shy," the older girl chirped, clearly proud of the two younger performers. She liked watching how each of the younger girls gradually opened up with each performance they did. It was like watching a flower blood. "You must have a favorite, don't you?" Saki asked now, turning her attention back to Bob. "Out of all five groups... you have to like some over the others," she added, head tilted once again.

The way the beautiful young girl sat next to him only made the tension she was referring to worse. Still, he had to act tough, as he was accustomed to not showing any weakness, as a veteran soldier from the Imperial Armada's battlesuit infantry. "Yeah...." he said in response to her question. "I'm just not used to being in a room alone with such a cute girl." He hadn't intended to express how cute he found the young idol... but it had already escaped his mouth.

With how close she was sitting, however, he could feel her warmth every time her shoulder pressed against him. Even worse, with his hands positioned on his knees, he would occasionally feel the girl's smooth thighs pressed against them due to the short skirt length that was in fashion both on and off stage for girls her age. Still, as she didn't seem to mind the occasional touch... he didn't see why it should bother him, and tried not to act so tense.

It was hard to focus on the performance, but he tried anyway. It helped that she was talking about the girls... something to distract his mind away from the beautiful girl sitting next to him. Thinking over her words, he gave the best answer he could. "I would be doing the other girls a disservice if I favored any one group," he replied to her. "It is my job as manager to provide the absolute best opportunity to each and every one of you." Glancing over at Saki's beautiful face, he said, "You'll be making your debut soon as well, Saki. So please be patient until the time comes... I've got the perfect idea in mind."

Saki wasn't entirely convinced by her manager's assurance of being alright, but she didn't figure it was her place to argue the matter. However, she was caught off guard at the compliment that followed, and she could feel her face burn brightly. "O-oh... thank you," she whispered, her own shyness sinking in as she averted her gaze away from the man. It wasn't that she hadn't been complimented like that before, it had just never come from someone that she thought so highly of. She appreciated the compliment, though.

She managed to think over her brief, timid moment to listen to his response to her question. The answer made her smile again, clearly pleased by it. Although she had figured he would favor some over others, it was nice to know that his main focus was on benefitting everyone, and building on each girls' dream. It was very admirable. "That's really sweet," she finally murmured, offering him a gentle smile.

As he brought up her own debut, the girl perked up, expression bright at his words. "You do? Does that mean I get a hint of what it is?" she asked, one of her hands coming to rest on his knee as she turned to face him better. "Just a hint. Please?" she begged, batting her eyelashes at the man. She didn't want to hear his entire plan, but she couldn't help but want to know a little bit of what he had in store for her.

Bob hadn't expected the girl would actually blush at his comment. Surely she was used to being called pretty, by this point. Was it possible that she was actually flirting with him? She did seem to be asking if he had a favorite group, perhaps as a means of trying to win more favor for herself so that he would give her more of the big opportunities... but still, Saki didn't strike him as that kind of girl, so it was confusing.

Unable to look the girl directly as she gave him such an adorable smile in response to his reasoning for why he tried to help everyone, Bob directed his attntion back to the stage... only to see that the neko girls were between songs at the moment. "Yeah..." he said, unsure what else to say. "Well you all do your best, so it means I have to keep up..."

At the girl's excited words, Bob felt her hand on his knee, and noted how she turned to face him in a way that offered him a view up her skirt. Trying not to stare, he focused on trying to figure out an answer. "Uhh...." he said, his thoughts clouded and distorted by how adorable she was acting, "Well... it's something I wanted to get all the girls to help out with...." Well, it was a hint, at least.

As the man turned his attention away from the girl, Saki followed his gaze to the performance, just to see that the girls were no longer on stage. She wondered, briefly, how many songs the two little nekos would have left to perform. She didn't dwell on the thought too long, however, and soon looked to her manager once again. She blinked at the man as he spoke, and another smile lit up her face. "You do a good job of keeping up. It must be hard... since you're outnumbered fourteen to one," she murmured, lifting her shoulders into a bit of a shrug. She knew all the girls admired him greatly. He truly did work hard for them all, just the same as they worked hard for him.

The girl wasn't aware of the view up her skirt as she turned towards the man, but she did notice the slight change in his demeanor. "All of the girls? So it's going to be something big?" she asked now, leaning a bit closer to the man with eyes full of excitement. She hadn't realized he had actually made such big plans for her debut. She hoped it would all turn out just as perfectly as she thought that it would.

The sound of the two girls returning to stage made Saki turn her attention away from the man, looking to the performance again instead. "How many more songs do they have left?" she asked now, watching the two nekos move across the stage.

The smile of the beautiful young idol had an almost magical effect of lifting spirits and making Bob feel some measure of delight. He told himself that it was simply a part of the girl's nature, to bring happiness to all who witnessed her beauty and pleasant personality. She was, as he was sure anyone would agree, far too good for him, after all.

"You all work so hard that the work I do... isn't all that impressive," he said with a shrug. "You girls are still in school, so you have to deal with homework as well. This is a full time job for me... so it's only natural that I would work as much as I do." Seeing the girls work so hard in order to accomplish their dreams was rather impressive, as anyone would agree, considering they were still students.

Glancing back at the beautiful idol, he still found his gaze drawn almost subconsciously to the gap that she still hadn't seemed to notice, else he figured she would have concealed it. Placing his hands in his lap, he remarked, "Well... you're the type of girl who can make a large impact with a surprise performance..." he said, letting slip a bit too much about what he had planned for her debut, yet again. It was so hard to keep these details hidden when such a charismatic beauty asked him, after all.

As she mentioned the performance again, Bob realized that he had been too distracted by Saki's presence to pay as much attention to them as he should have been. "Umm..." he said, trying to figure out what song they were on. "They have one more after this one..." he remarked, realizing that he would need to spend the night reviewing the recordings as he hadn't paid sufficient attention to Hoshi and Emi on their special day. It wasn't Saki's fault that she was so distracting, so he didn't blame her... after all, she had come with only the best intentions of supporting her friends.

Saki wanted to argue with Bob, and insist that the work and effort he put into each of the groups was just as admirable as what the girls put in, but she knew that the humble man wouldn't agree with her. Working with fourteen girls was bound to be a handful. There was drama, and the occasional small arguments. Sometimes were was jealousy and a stronger needs for attention from multiple groups at a time. She was surprised he did such a nice job of keeping everyone reigned in and... Well, happy. "Give yourself some more credit. I'm sure the littler girls wouldn't want you to think you're anything less than special, too," she murmured. Even if no one else got to witness the man's work, all of the girls at least knew of his importance.

Talking about her debut performance seemed to only be adding to the proof that he was just as important in his contributions to the performance as the girls were. Saki was sure nothing would get done if he wasn't there to keep things organized. His following words had the girl brightening once again, a smile lighting up her features. "Surprise performance?" she repeated, her imagination running wild on what that may mean for her. She quickly realized she was learning too much about the performance though, and she gave Bob's knee a few excited pats with her palm. "Okay, okay. No more! I don't want to spoil it too much," she giggled, deciding she had gotten enough out of the man.

The girl then glanced between the performance and Bob, nodding her head when he gave an answer to her question. She wanted to congratulate the young nekos on their performance. Even if she had also been a bit too distracted to see much of the girls' performance, the parts she did see seemed worthy of praise. "They're going to be so excited when they finish up," she hummed absently, knowing the two nekos were naturally rather excited girls. However, the idol's eyes lowered to her lap for a moment, and she finally noticed the way she was sitting. Her knees quickly knocked together, a bright blush spreading across her cheeks and to the tips of her ears. Her hands smoothed over her skirt a few times, making sure it laid flat against her thighs now. She didn't mention it though, too embarrassed to even apologize for the view she had given.

While grateful for the girl's praise, Bob didn't yet feel like he had done anything to deserve it. He had goals for these girls... very real and definite ones... and until he saw some progress towards accomplishing their dreams, he could only look at the road ahead and take things one step at a time. The performance on stage where the two cat-eared cuties were performing was the first step, but he had twelve other girls to think of, as he felt like the opening performance that Pinky Promise had completed was overshadowed by Destiny's own performance.

Still, he was somewhat grateful that Saki chose to shut him up before he revealed too much information as to what he had planned for her. He chuckled somewhat at her words, giving her a nod. "Yes..." he said, "You'll learn more soon." Glancing at her exposed panties yet again, it soon seemed like the girl finally realized the position she was sitting in, and gave an adorable blush as she covered herself up. No words were necessary, which was fortunate, as Bob couldn't think of any to say.

Returning his gaze to the stage, Bob watched the final performance of the Neko Sugar Girls, along with the applause that followed. It seemed their audience, while small in size, were quite taken by these girls... the adorably shy Hoshi, and the often forgetful Emi... and Bob himself couldn't help but give a few claps, despite the fact that the only one around to hear them was Saki.

"We should congratulate them," he said, making his way back to their dressing room as the girls also disappeared backstage in order to celebrate and change back to their everyday attire, though likely after a shower to wash off the sweat of their stage debut.

Saki sat in silence next to the man for the rest of the nekos' final performance, smiling at the sight of the two young girls enjoying themselves. The applause at the end was well deserved by the two girls, but the idol glanced towards Bob as he even clapped as well. It made her smile growl, and she even found herself clapping softly with the man. The two girls were so talented for their age. They deserved the love and praise that she was sure they would be getting from now on. She was proud of the two nekos.

As Bob spoke, the girl nodding her head quickly in agreement. She scurried out to follow close behind the manager, keeping an eye out for the two little girls she was sure would be running around somewhere. She was so focused on trying to find Hoshi and Emi, that she didn't notice the pair of backstage crew coming their direction. She looked up just in time to see one of the crew bump into Bob, tipping the drink in his hand down the front of the manager's shirt. She squeaked out a small sound of alarm, hearing the backstage man apologize profusely.

She turned towards Bob a bit better, hands reaching out to pull at his shirt and get a better look at it. "That's... a bit of a mess," she mumbled, biting at her bottom lip. The whole front of the man's shirt had been soaked, and the drink had a rather strong odor attached with it. "You should go take a shower. I'm sure I can find you a new shirt to put on afterwards," she suggested, already starting to tug him towards the shower rooms. She wasn't sure if he had anything he needed to get to after talking to the girls, but she still thought he could need one after having a drink spilt on him.
