p.s. on my own guy his primary weapon is the crossbow. though of course he can also use his axe when needed. just thought i'd mention it.

I mean, there's no reason you can't just knock people out instead of killing them outright, even in the first stage of the mission.
The lady herself will hang back during the initial phase, but she'll be taking a more active one in the second. She wants to be there and the door is opened, if absolutely nothing else. She won't be actively fighting, but she'll probably be tagging along with the group sent to search the place. Elend, on the other hand, will remain with the other fighters.

Maybe just knocking them out / tying them up should be the goal. Slaughtering the majority of a cult might just put a bounty on our groups' heads.Could be meddlesome later.

I don't think my own character would be very good at knocking people out though I guess he could help capture them.
*unless ofc it happens that they have recruited other dwarves.
