The Bucket List Thread

Self-explanatory; a thread for everyone to share the things they want to do before they kick the bucket.

Here’s mine:
- go to Japan
- swim with sharks (preferably in a cage)
- take a falconry lesson
- get a pet chameleon
- work at Blizzard

That’s all for now... I assume it’ll get longer as I get older though lol.

I have a very small list:
--I would love to go to Australia
--Take a cruise (I get sea sick easily, so I'm not sure this is feasible)
--Go on a safari

Work in progress
-go to Australia and hug G and find Mr V
-go to Scotland and figure out my family tree
-drive a real sports car on a real race track
-fly in a hot air balloon

As a former Privateer (USN drug interdiction does count) I can attest to the pills they make to counter seasickness working as well as pointing out that you get so used to the motion after a period of time that returning to land can cause landsickness....

Lol--that is good to know. I have Dramamine tablets and a prescription motion sickness medication, but neither have worked very well for me. I'm willing to give a cruise a try anyhow, because I want to go, dog-gone-it!

I understand completely. If you do go to take a cruise you might want to take your pills about 40 minutes to an hour before the ship gets underway. And you may want to sacrifice the first days festivities for sleep (your body may adapt faster without all the distractions being awake gives you.) Also I think most cruise ships are big enough that you shouldn't notice much unless your look in at the motion itself. I can't remember if focus in on the horizon makes it better or worse.

Cruises aren't too bad. I never really went out on the sea until I was an adult, but it is very enjoyable.

Go on a cruise. You'll have the time of your life.

Lol--I think I will have to go on the cruise then--seems everyone is cheering for it. I do have a big anniversary coming up next year. Now to decide where to go.
