Holding the kitsune in his lap, Frederick continued with the lecture until he saw She'as hand raising. "Yes, Shea?" he asked the fairy, then chuckled a bit as she mentioned using radiant energy on plants. "While it's not specifically designed for that purpose, thinking creatively like that is what distinguishes a hedge-mage from a great wizard. Well done," he said. "The light spell you'll be learning is usually used to assist in late night reading by lighting a room, or exploring ancient ruins where there is no light... but it can be used to cause photosynthesis in plants as well, yes. More powerful radiant spells would reduce plants to ash, however, as they're far more destructive."
As the kitsune shifted more in his lap, he kept stroking her tail almost absentmindedly, soon hearing a startled sound as he felt a soft sensation against his tent pole. Of course, this had reminded him of certain activities that had recently take place, both in his office and when Eloa had enjoyed the seat of power, so he murmured in a low tone, "It's fine..." He pulled her hips a bit closer in order to grind more against her soft flesh as he kept stroking her tail, as if to tell her that it was alright.
The tricky look on Lili's face told the wizard that she was considering being naughty again, as if weighing the rewards against the punishment. Continuing to stroke Haru's tail, he explained, "A force energy spell would be something like the Magic Missile spell," he said to her. "It's a level one Evocation spell, so a bit above our current chapter in the text book, but it's considered one of the fundamental attack spells of low level mages and high level mages alike, since increased mana allows a mage to fire multiple missiles simultaneously rather than just one."
