No clouds, a warm day, a light wind gently ruffling the leaves that resided on trees, bushes, and flowers. In a normal place, on a perfect day like this, one might call it the perfect day. Children running amuck, people simply walking From place to place, no purpose or destination, just for the sake of being outdoors. unfortunately, this wasn't a normal place. Children weren't running amuck. Those waking tended to have an important destination in mind; most often of which would be to return home safe and sound. The town used to be peaceful. Now it's filled with distrust and fear. Numerous people have gone missing. Never found. Normal, everyday people would be afraid, but not her. She wasn't afraid of going missing. Most would find it bazaar, but... she had good reason not to be afraid. Her reasoning simple; she was part of the reason so many people were going missing. Of course, she wasn't alone. Nor did she willingly do what she did. She was just a puppet, her puppeteer pulling on her strings. Free will? What was that. She had to hide who she was, never get close to anybody... everyone she talked to would likely meet unfortunate ends sooner or later. Letting out a sigh, she stopped walking and sat on a bench. It had been a little over a week sense she had last brought her puppeteer food. For her own sake she hoped to find someone soon. Who knew how long it would be until they got in the mood for something different, or drained the last drop from their current food. Sometimes they even did it on accident, purely because they had gotten lost In their hunger. Distracted by her thoughts, she didn't see the police car driving down the street. Looking up, She saw the police car, and immediatly slipped into a nearby clothing store. She must have seemed suspicious, because not too much later the police entered the store as well, searching for something. Using the numerous racks of clothing to hide, she slipped out of the store. Once out she began sprinting. Several times she had to dart into allies. Eventually she managed to return to the mansion- hidden deep in the forest. Not even the townsfolk knew of it. Panting and out of energy, she closed the door. To be truthful, she was ready to relax - until the realization hit her. She had returned back empty handed. She truly hoped it wouldn't end badly for her.
