Name: Zinnia "Zinna" Garcia
Nickname/Hero/Villain Name: Bella Donna (literally: beautiful lady, as a plant, Atropa belladonna, having purple bell-shaped flowers and poisonous black glossy berries, commonly known as Deadly Nightshade.)
Age:17
Gender: Female
Alignment: Anti-hero? Hero?
Loyalties (if applicable): Maxwell "Wolfsbane" Wolfrum, possible Teen Titans(future)?
Powers/weapons:
- POWER Corrosive/poisonous blood -- The user has poisons in their blood which the user can use against their opponent or when threatened. Skin contact causes irritation/burns, direct injection into the bloodstream can cause paralysis and death depending upon the amount (except for Maxwell Wolfrum which will be explained below.) Side effects -- blood can harm allies if they come into contact with it, vaccines and medication that work by using the bloodstream do not affect her at all, using her blood too drastically can cause anemia and in extreme cases, she will pass out.
- POWER Inability to feel pain. This works for her type of attacks, however, her injuries can get extremely bad before she realizes it -- she also may not realize she is bleeding and cause harm to allies.
- SKILL Technologically skilled
- SKILL Some medical training (Vascular anatomy based)
- SKILL MELEE fighting trained some hand to hand and small daggers (Trained to be a soldier)
- WEAPON Repurposed tattoo gun/airbrush gun -- attached to specific vessels (typically in her arm) that allow her to inject her blood into people or shoot small amounts of her blood as fast-paced penetrating projectiles. The contraption is of her own design and takes aspects of both the tattoo gun (motor) and airbrush gun (reservoir and body) to allow her to create a rudimentary gun when attached to vessels and turned on.
- WEAPON Small injectable vials of her blood give to Maxwell "Wolfsbane" Wolfrum to increase their power, can also be used against enemies. (Basically, she's Ana from Overwatch, but with her blood)

Personality: Bella Donna has an intense amount of guilt left over from all the children and others her blood has already killed. This translates over into a deep need to protect those around her that she cares for (currently Maxwell but later the Titans). She is also a creative, making artwork out of her pain. She is motivated by a need to protect those she is loyal to and to possibly one day put an end to the mistreatment of those gifted with powers (metahumans/mutants). It is hard to earn her trust, however, once you have it you will not lose it.
History: Lies. That was the only constant in Zinnia's life. From a young age, she was given away, not to adoption or to long-lost family-- no to a Government bent on using people. Not that they considered them people, no metahumans were lesser beings, here only to further their knowledge and be used as weapons. If the metahuman wasn't able to be used as a weapon, they served no purpose. Luckily Zinnia's abilities could be weaponized, and that is exactly what they tried to do. Her ability was detected before she was born, her blood started to attack her mother's cells as early as 14 weeks. Options for the young family were minimal -- abortion or the mother would die and most likely the baby as well. They didn't have the money or technology to keep them alive. However, while they were trying to decide what to do a blessing occurred, or what they considered a blessing. A man showed up, in a military uniform telling the family that the government was willing to pay for everything. This seemed like a blessing, the government would keep them both alive and they wouldn't be left with a huge medical bill after the birth. Nothing comes without a price though, and the soldier explained that when the baby turned five she would be handed over to the government. The discussion was difficult, but the parents decided they wanted to be able to keep their baby for whatever time they could and agreed to give the baby away when the time came.
The birth was hard, both on baby and mother, but as the government promised they both survived. Her childhood was relatively normal, except for the fact she never cried. Pain was not a sensation the young girl ever felt. At the age of three, she fell from the bed and broke her arm in two places. Her parents didn't know for two hours. The doctors explained that she didn't know she had hurt herself because her nerves weren't sending the impulses to tell her brain she was in pain. This translated to the inability to feel pain, but none of the doctors were exactly sure why she had this. That wasn't the only issue with the young latina. When she went to get her first blood work done as an infant they quickly discovered that she didn't have what they expected. Her blood was corrosive and painful if it somehow came in contact with the physician's skin. Quickly after this discovery, the government returned and began to do her doctor's appointments in their home with their own physicians. Other than the physical abnormalities, she was a normal, happy, and mostly healthy baby girl.
In spite of all that, she still had that fateful birthday. At her fifth birthday party, it happened. As they were watching her blow out the candles a knock on the door caused both parents to tense up. They knew it was coming, but they weren't ready. In came the military man who saved their lives five years earlier. It was time. From that moment on any normalcy she had was gone, and any happiness she had would dwindle. Her life was about to change.
She was taken to a facility where they were housing humans with powers, abilities, and mutations. They wanted to make the perfect weapon of mass destruction, "to use against our enemies." They acted as if this was what all the countries were doing. She quickly discovered this wasn't a camp or vacation. She was taken to a small cell, each and every day they would take blood and she would have to watch as they tested it. Sometimes on materials, but most of the time it was on people. They would pour it onto the skin of other kids, apparently metahumans but to Zinnia, they were just kids like her, and record how well it burned. They would inject it, to see the results. She would be forced to watch as her blood quickly and skillfully began to harm them from the inside out. A large quantity would cause them to die within minutes. They would inject it into specific tissues, eyes and see how quickly it would blind the victim, legs to see if they could incapacitate someone. It was terrible, she hated it.
However, one day something else happened. An injection caused a different reaction in a child. A child that had come in with her. A reaction no one had expected and now everyone wanted. A power boost. No death, no burns, but a heightened power ability. The government had gotten a result they could use. Though perhaps not in the way they had expected. After the injection had been done the restrained child's reaction to it became apparent in a way no one was quite ready for. There was so much blood, that's what Zinnia really remembers. She remembers seeing the scientist's head explode, she remembers watching all the blood. Perhaps the worst part was the smiles from the other scientists. They had wanted a reaction like this, they had wanted death and destruction. To the government, this was the start of new possibilities and for the two children, it was the start of a new life and beautiful friendship. Bella Donna and Wolfsbane began a friendship out of necessity, the scientists kept them near each other for tests and examinations. However, out of necessity grew a true friendship and unrivaled loyalty. It was out of this necessity a plan was hatched.
No longer would Bella Donna be used to murder innocent metahumans, and no longer would Wolfsbane be forced to endure these experiments. A plan was hatched by the two, Bella Donna snuck away IV bags, and syringes whenever she could, between experiments she would use whatever spare blood she had to stockpile ammunition. They were getting out of here, and it was going to work. Once their plan was set and their ammunition full, and Bella Donna had time to recover from her lack of blood. They went to work. The plan was simple, escape alive. Stop anyone that tried to stop them. Between Wolfsbane's powers, the boost from the blood and the makeshift blood launcher Bella Donna had made from the IV equipment they made easy work of the lesser guarded floors.
In spite of their early success though, they were cornered. A decision to grab their only personal effects proved to be a terrible decision. Detrimental really. All Zinnia had wanted was the picture of her parents and her that she was handed with shaky hands the day the government had taken her. That was too much to ask apparently, as the two teens stared down at their captors their backs against a wall. With nowhere to go and no other options, they took drastic measures. With all the blood they had left they made one last ditch effort and injected Wolfsbane with a dose at least triple what he was used to. This would do one of two things, boost his powers enough to save them -- or kill him. They had no other options.
The next thing Bella Donna knew she felt like her body was being torn apart. It wasn't just that she was being torn apart, it was that she could feel it -- she could feel everything. It started like a tinge, a pressure. A hug that was too tight and lasted too long, but it quickly grew. Suddenly every inch of her being felt like it was itching. Not a normal itch, no this felt wrong -- intensely so. This sensation was blocking out every other instinct of hers. She couldn't hear or think. It was wrong, and bad, she hated it. The itch you can't scratch multiplied by millions, billions of neurons that hadn't worked before -- suddenly all firing at once telling her that something was wrong. She wanted to scream out, to ask why this was wrong, but she couldn’t she could only sit and exist with this sensation…this wrong feeling. Then suddenly, silence...
She opened her eyes to find herself outside. The sensation is gone, her body back to normal -- her's again. Before she had time to relish that suddenly more weight landed in her arms and her heart skipped a beat. She looked down to see Maxwell unconscious in her arms. This wasn't good. She looked around and realized that she was alone with him, in a field. A large abandoned warehouse sat directly to the North of them and it was her only option. She didn't know if they could track them, but she needed to be out of sight.
With her best effort and a little bit of time, she carried her friend into the warehouse and that was where they would stay, until they were able to find something better -- if they could find something better. Even this was better than the facility though, at least here they were safe, for now.
It took a few hours, but finally, Maxwell awoke. Zinnia believed this to be the start of their good luck, in a way she was right. Apparently, the blink had set off some sort of electromagnetic impulse? She didn't truly understand it, but it did make a large enough wave to be noticed. If that was the case who knew who would find them? The Government Agency could possibly even find them? They spent several months in this abandoned warehouse, before deciding that moving into Jump would be a better option. They needed a better place to live, they needed a better life. They apparently had gotten away from the Government Agency that had held them captives for so many years, but that could always change who knew how well they knew to track them. Zinnia just hoped this was going to be the start of a better life, not just better, a good life.
Other:
- FUN FACT The tropane alkaloids of A. belladonna were used as poisons, and early humans made poisonous arrows from the plant.
- FUN FACT Zinnia is an artist and wants to become a tattoo artist, she does graffiti and plans to sell artwork when she can.
- FUN FACT Due to the sudden and intense blink while in close proximity to each other Maxel and Zannia have slightly connected atoms. This means they have a deep connection which allows for them to feel each other's emotions when stressed and Maxwell can blink to Zannia no matter where she is.
- [b]FUN FACT[b]When living with her parents her mother attempted to teach her simple sewing stitches, they didn't stick but she can sew a hole shut most times.
