Yeah, I think we're at the point where we're just tossing concepts around. I really like Lady Celeste's second idea, it's definitely a simplistic but effective plot. I'm open to any other worldbuilding or setting ideas as well.

    The kinky kind lol.

But I have an army of characters to pick from for this idea. And I love High Fantasy so you have my vote.

Man, The hyboria world is awesome. Especcially if you tap the Red Sonja and Kull sources. not to mention the Cthulu references Hell i heard once that Elric of Melnibonémight share that world.... Research indicates he doesn't

    Still am interested.

This exists within my wheelhouse. If you're rollin with the idea of cultists kidnapping then the whold Hyborian age thing isn't really necessary and you label it as a fantasy.

You're right in that it doesn't have to take place in a sword and sorcery/pseudo-Hyborian Age, but it's definitely the setting a few of us would really enjoy.

I'm definitely pretty hyped. Talking to Lady Celeste, the setting is probably going to be inspired somewhat by early, early Western civilization.

My personal setting suggestion was something qausi-Bronze Age-ish. The sort of weird period in time where you had advanced civilizations like Greece and Egypt coexisting with nomads, primitive farmers and hunter-gatherers in Europe, Asia and SS Africa.

QUICK UPDATE :: A family member of mine had to go to the ER recently after a bad fall. The injury wasn’t as bad as we first thought, but it will still need a few days of rest and a follow-up appointment, so I may not be able to write much for the next few days.

Having said that, in response to your PM Ate, I think I may have a concept in mind for the kind of setting outline we could go for. It’d take a while for me to write all the details I’ve been considering, but it’s safe to say that it will most likely end up being very much like what you described just now, with at least some of the more advanced civilizations falling within two primary superpowers (the two kingdoms/empires from the plot idea we settled on) while the less “civilized” territories consist of uninhabited wilderness, barbarian territories, less advanced civilizations, and/or uncharted “outsider” civilizations that may not yet have been discovered by those living in the “known world”.
    Thanks for the set, Kicks!
