Yeah I think that would work. After all the guardians themselves have some kind of thing that makes them better hunters of demons and monster then the rest of the world

History: Alessia was found in a slavers cage who specialized in selling elven children to human nobles to keep them in slavery as toys for their noble children. When she was rescued by the guardians she showed a love for knowledge, books, stories, legends, and other forms of information. Eventually spreading this love to the area of magic.

Because of all of this, she was trained as a soldier of lore. While they weren't dangerous in physical combat they could be dangerous in mental and spiritual combat. With her wide range of knowledge and use of guardian artifacts to use magic, she helps manage connections in the world, uses diplomatic abilities to maintain old relations and build new ones.

Her weapon of choice is an artifact tome that she keeps on her hip everywhere she goes. Upon opening the tome it can show her a wide variety of information. From information related to the task at hand, information related to people that the user determines as a person of interest.

In times of combat, new information comes up that the user can read that summons defensive magic to keep its user alive. The defensive magic comes at a cost though of draining the energy of the user. When the user's energy gets to low it can start to use the life energy of the user. The tome can only be used by lore keepers of the order due to the language the artifact writes itself in. The language takes multiple years of training for the user to understand.

History:

Smyth was born in a small village. A isolated village that had no connection to the outside world. The village she was raised in was a more self dependent than anywhere else. Growing their own food, cleaning their own water and keeping peace among each other.

She was only a child when a beast attacked her village. Killing everyone she had known and everyone she had loved. Smyth was hiding in her home under the floor boards where they store extra food for the winter season. The monster had sniffed out her hiding place and she was close to death. Thankfully a group of Guardians stumbled across her village and slain the creature.

The Guardians had taken her under their wing and returned with her to their training grounds. Years passed and Smyth had learned to discipline herself using the one sword she had carried since her village was destroyed. A sword she used to defend herself again'st the monster that had killed her parents. The katana was a family heirloom that was passed on from generation to generation. Now she was the last and will remain as the last family member to be carrying the relic.
