A secret organization was founded by several experienced warriors who took an oath to protect the innocent from demons and monsters. They had given their lives so others can live on. They track and killed horrifying beasts that lurk in the dark, but soon they had their match.
A demon lord of the vampire race invaded the peaceful lands in an act of war and started killing people. Destroying one village and moving on to the next. Townsfolk were too afraid to leave the safety of the King's protection. But even the soldiers couldn't stand again'st the ferocious teeth of the new enemy threat.
The hunters from a mysterious kingdom teamed up with the warriors, banning together under one banner to annihilate the vampire invasion. They called this united group. The Guardians of Dawn. And together they pushed the vampire forces back to where they once came.
In the wake of their victory, the kingdoms of the world couldn't help but wonder how the guardians were able to defeat the demons. The Guardians, in an effort to keep their secret, in fact, a secret, they simply told the nations of the world that they undergo special training.
Thousands of years passed after the Vampire War. The Guardian's Order grew larger, richer, and with more influence. This, in turn, allowed their order to gather more people under the mysterious hunters and expert warriors. In turn, when the demons started to gather more power and started the second war under the demon lord of the beholder race, the Guardians were ready and had the kingdoms unite under their banner to defeat the second demon lord.
Again, thousands of years passed before the demons started to gather again, under the banner of a new demon lord. This demon lord, having learned from the mistakes of the first two, was far more dangerous than the other two. Belonging to the hivemind race of demons, every human it killed, it gained as a new soldier in its demonic army.
It would take the victim, infect it with its demonic presence, and turn it into some horrible creature that was half demon, half human. In order to defeat this demonic army, the Guardians were forced to make the largest army they had ever made before. In the results of the final battle, a majority of the guardians were killed and it left the order weak.
As thousands of years passed, the order worked on recovering from the damage they took. The damage was severe though and led to rumors spreading about the guardians among the public. Calling them dangerous soldiers who killed anyone that came across their path. Despite these rumors and the challenging effort that laid ahead of rebuilding their order, the Guardians remained ever vigilant should the demons return again. They offered their services to others for coin. In rare cases when they had no choice, villages would gather as much as they could to hire a Guardian to hunt down a demon or a monster that taunts and terrorize their people's lives. The only people of the world that still trusted and liked the Guardians, were those who were in control of the governments. Kings, ministers, advisors, as well as other rulers.
In the wake of the process of rebuilding, a new threat now appears. Guardians are going missing faster than they can be recruited. Some think that it is the work of a new demon lord, preparing for a new invasion. Others think the guardians are going AWOL, deciding that life would be better where they could hide away and die in peace.
Now, as well as doing missions for the governments of the world, Guardians go on missions to track down missing guardians, reclaim lost fortresses and resources, as well as performing their normal duties of hunting down demons and beasts that proved to be dangerous.

Magic: Magic is mostly nonexistent. Only seen among demons and items called Artifacts. Artifacts are items of power, and are considered magic. Each Artifact is different and fused with the energy of demons in order to steal the ability of the demon. Depending on on the class of demon used determines what kind of use the item becomes. Demons that usually observe become tomes, demons that fight become different kinds of staves, and demons that do neither become wands. Objects take anywhere from a few years to a life time to learn to use depending on how powerful the item is.
