Name: Silus Garthering of the Pine Mountain Redhand Tribe
Age: 26
Ethnicity: Native American
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Appearance:
Personality: Silus is a serious young man, and one of brutal honesty. He has no filter and sometimes seems to get amusement from the results, but he has a duty set in his mind to bring medicine to his tribe and free others trapped and damned like himself.
>Strengths: Extremely physically fit, his life of living in the wood have given him great endurance, strength, agility, and durability. He also has keen animal like instincts and intelligence and has skills in hunting with bows and rifles, trapping, and foraging.
>Weaknesses: Not great on social graces, he fails at sarcasm and thinks with just enough fighting he can over come any obstacle. And despite his intellect he is still a wild man and relies on instinct more than planing unless it's a very last resort.
Backstory: Born into a tribe far away from the madness of BrickHurst Aslyum. Silus was what could be called a late bloomer when it comes to powers. He didn't discover his until he was around thirteen and had a run-in with a pack of a feral dogs. He has always been a good runner but the pack had been harassing him for over an hour. Finally his energy was spent and they cornered him. He could see his death before him but as they lunged something changed he felt his body breaking and healing all in a matter of seconds. When he opened his eyes the dogs were bloodied, and whimpering around him.
Looking down at his paws....paws! They were discolored a deep red and under it was black fur the same color as his hair. The pack's alpha was dead with his throat ripped out besides Silus. His father, leading a group of hunters found him and looked on in amazement as he tried to speak to them, but he was only barking. The other men moved to attack the dogs Silus included but his father stopped them. He recognized Silus's eyes and brought him to the Tribe Elders. An hour had to pass before the young man could speak, but once he had changed back he found out that his family line has had a long history of Shapeshifting powers, from evil Skinwalkers to valiant Guardians of the Wild. He was taken to the mountain and trained by an old Shaman named Black Hawk, the only other Shapeshifter his tribe has seen in centuries. He lived far from his family and knew nothing of the modern trappings of the cities nor of the Agents. He stayed like this for ten years learning his Gift, his pack of feral dogs staying by his side and growing larger the whole time, but Black Hawk died on his twenty-third birthday and his Tribe was in dire need of medicine due to some unknown virus that had infected the tribe from the trash dumped all over their land by the people of the cities.
Silus's isolation left him the only one fit enough to go seeking aid. He had sent his pack away to protect them from the dangerous city and thought he could handle it himself. But he had never been so unprepared for something since his powers first came to light. He was immediately targeted by Agents for simply being a new comer, but as he casually changed into an animal form so he could search the city faster they pounced, he narrowly escaped the first try, but they refused to stop. He ran from them for five hours and was trying to rapidly change forms, but he could feel his body getting what he could only call unstable. He had just changed into a his rat form when he collapsed, too exhausted to finish crawling into the sewers. The Agents caught him easily and everything went black, next time he awoke he was in the Asylum locked in a small room after two days as a rat he changed back into his human form, learning from his mistakes he builds himself stronger each day planning his escape after three years he believes he almost has it.
Faction: N/A Captive.
Gift: Animal Shapeshifting, Silus can change into the shape of some animal he's seen. Usually larger than normal versions. But once he's taken a form he's stuck in it for at least an hour and if he changed too much in one day his powers short out and he's stuck in his last form for a day or two and it's incredibly painful because his body literally rips, expands, and contracts with each transformation, as an interesting side effect of his powers he can communicate with animals even in his human form.
