Pre-emptive warning that I could be unavailable for an indeterminate time.

My state's due to be hit with it's first proper hurricane since the 80's, and the main electrical utility has updated its estimated statewide power loss at 50-69% with full restoration taking between eight days to three weeks. Those are the worst case estimates, of course...but this same utility has a history of badly fucking up comparatively minor storms, so that could actually be a reasonably fair estimate. Hooray...

I'm happy to say that the storm wound up shifting, weakening and ultimately being much less impactful than feared - and, of course, cue the grumblings (and worse on social media, of course) about the dire forecasts not panning out. No need to worry about us - we make it a point to keep well provisioned at the homestead, so as to avoid the effort and indignity of having to wrestle another family for the grocery's last can of tuna or jar of peanut butter.

Anyhow, I'm presently being beaten to a sticky pulp by work (I mean, aren't we all?) so that's my holdup. The main job is a raging toxic waste fire at the moment, and the new-old work from home side job is hilariously unprepared to have me back - so I might make the most of that, and be paid to finish off some of my in-progress scenes.
