Ruvsa was just about to begin tending to Sabyne’s rash when it happened.

She didn’t know what exactly ‘it’ was, but she could feel its presence in the air, which turned icy cold and hung heavily in the atmosphere. It definitely wasn’t natural, but the sheer impact of it all froze Ruvsa in place and numbed her mind, such that a shaman’s usual instincts when dealing with something this obviously supernatural were utterly forgotten.

Ruvsa strained to watch the scene unfold before them and listen to his words, her foggy mind scarcely thinking to do even that. But there was no point, as the figure spoke in a completely foreign language, as did the bird spirit he revived. Bit by bit, Ruvsa’s mind began to slowly shut down. Maybe a short nap wouldn’t hurt... and she was getting so sleepy...

She had almost dozed off altogether by the time it was all over, and the sudden sound of the baker’s voice just barely managed to snap her out of her trance. Whatever it was that had just invaded this space, it had disappeared as mysteriously as it had arrived. Getting up, she tried to focus her mind on trying to do something, if only to shake off the last remnants of the dark haze in her mind, and saw Sabyne’s rashes once more.

“Come here, I need to finish your treatment.” Ruvsa said quickly, attempting to usher her back down. “And then I need to speak with the elders. Surely they will know how to appease the spirit.”
    Thanks for the set, Kicks!

    She was struggling to breathe.

It was as if she had just run a hundred mile race. Yet there she was. Still slumped upon the floor, un-moving throughout that whole affair. Mind you, she didn't want to be on that floor. Sabyne wanted to leave, get up and run far away from that place, away from Bebouwen itself even. But she wasn't sure that she could even stand, let alone run. Ice was still stuck in her legs, choking out any hope of movement. Then, a voice. A voice reached her through the dark that seemed to have settle within her very mind.

It was that lovely baker and maker again. He offered her help. But she was strong, he needn't worry. Her mind was still clouded, confused and too worried to force words out of her. Therefore she attempted to stand and offer that as her response to his offer. Then Rusva was helping her too. Trying to tend to her arm once again. It was all a bit overwhelming really. Sabyne just, didn't quite know what to do with herself.

Her voice finally found her again, and quietly, more calmly than even she was expecting, Sab managed to speak,

    "What... What was that?"

She raised a hand to her head. Her voice was barely more than a whisper,

"Gods... this Gloom is going to kill us all... isn't it?"
