Truth be told, I only know a little bit. Probably more than people who don't play these games, but not as much as those who do.

Watching the Dixey Stampede has made me want to do a western based RP.
Fantasy western would be great.

Stargate, or stargate esk (I heard people have tried and failed, but I'm not sure for what reasons. I want to do it none the less).
Demon slayer
Prohibition gangster based Fantasy (I started something, but it never took off. The players never made posts. Very short lived)
Vietnam, or Vietnam esk. WW2 was one I tried to start up, I had some interest, but it died quick. Not sure what happened.
S.W.A.T (Zootopia swat was an idea that I would also like to try)
Other military/militia (I had two very short lived Recovery, which was post apocalypse military. Wouldn't mind bringing that back again. The recovery is more of a group trying to scout out and reclaim lost land from a crazy apocalypse as they also defend Apex City).
D&D based/fantasy
shield hero
Saga of Tanya the Evil

Once upon a time (in 2002, to be exact), there was a movie adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie, scripted by Bryan Fuller and starring Angela Bettis as the titular heroine. Say what you will about the movie itself, but the most interesting part is what the producers had been planning to do with it. As part of said plans, the writers of the 2002 adaptation had added one unique twist to the story, which would have allowed the movie to lead into a TV series spin-off. The latter never came to pass because, although the movie did have high audience ratings, it didn’t do well with the critics, and NBC wasn’t interested in the proposed draft for the second episode.
Nevertheless the idea of a TV series based on the Carrie universe certainly gives me a few ideas for an RP. For instance, even if we set aside the 2002 adaptation altogether, the original book ending mentions the formation of a group called the “White Committee” to investigate paranormal abilities, concluding that others like Carrie will emerge in the future. Or if we go a step further, crossovers with other Stephen King novels with similar paranormal-ability themes (Firestarter, The Dead Zone, etc.) are highly possible as well, and/or may even open the door for original characters not directly tied to any of Stephen King’s works.
Having said all of that, to go into any more details on the 2002 TV show concept would run the risk of leaking spoilers. See the spoiler box below if you’ve already seen the 2002 adaptation and/or if you’re curious enough not to care about spoilers.
Spoiler: Carrie 2002’s Unique Twist + TV Series Premise
Unlike in the original story or in any other Carrie adaptation to date, CARRIE LIVES in the 2002 adaptation. More specifically, although Carrie’s mother does try to kill her and nearly succeeds, Sue Snell (the only one of Carrie’s bullies to feel remorse and change her ways) finds Carrie just in time and saves her life. Sue and Carrie then decide to get Carrie out of town without telling anyone else that Carrie is alive, so that Carrie can try to start a new life someplace where she won’t be recognized. (Sue mentions she can take Carrie as far as Florida, but it’s never specified where exactly they ended up going.)
The planned TV series was going to pick up at some point after this, according to the details I was able to find online. Specific tidbits that I was able to gather include the following:
Sue and Carrie go “on a journey to help other people with telekinetic powers”.
Carrie would have to “deal with the remorse and the responsibility for killing several people”.
I recall hearing somewhere that a paranormal investigator was going to be involved, but can’t find the source.
In addition to all of these, other suggestions I’ve seen included Carrie’s powers somehow transferring over to Sue, though that idea was not used as far as I know.[/LIST]
@Lady Celeste;
So, you want to do a roleplay based in this universe, else based around paranormal powers, abilities, and events.
Might be interesting.

Yep, pretty much. My main concern ATM is that, if not handled well, it runs the risk of being too much of a generic supernatural/superpower RP. However, there’s already plenty of material to work with from King’s stories alone, so right now I’m browsing through what I can of them to see what I can put together.

Not naming names yet, but one person here on RPA has told me they might be up for an X-Men Evolution RP. Just out of curiosity, might there be any other potential takers?

I really want a role play that involves Dark Fae, Demons, and Vampires. I think it would be interesting to make them hybrids and really create a new world with just those three supernatural species. For example, imagine they’re all against each other until humans come and they have to get along to keep their identities on the DL. An unruly demon wants to expose them all and change the world as they know it. It descends into chaos and it takes all of them to fix it. Or something like that! I really want a poly role play too with multiple writing partners. I think it would be fun and a way to make friends.
