Name: NyrixOrigin: Dunkelhugel in Germany
Birth: Pact made with Cyaegha
Appearance: Nyrix is 7 inches in diameter, and perfectly smooth. It is a deep black color, due to the light bending around out. Along the surface are swirling lines, showing that the orb can be twisted and possibly opened, though they only appear when one is holding the orb.
Inside the orb is nothing but an inky black tar substance, almost to the consistency of mud.
Personality: Nyrix has been shown to have a subconscious drive, bringing those who have handled it to call it a parasite. It's thirst for food have been known to tax on those weilding it, causing them to become increasingly unstable. To those it deems worthy, it has been known to grant promises of power and greed, appealing to the darker recesses of the human mind.
Abilities: Nyrix had a total of 5 abilities, each drawing based on the users desire and wants. Each school can only be used by unlocking the dome, which only the holder knows the pattern to do so. Only one ability can be accessed at a time.
Green dome: the first skill granted to the holder it is the orbs main way of feeding itself. Sending out a green field that can reach a full length of 20ft in diameter, it can draw in any form of energy, from physical, magical, and even kinetic. It's limited in skill as it cannot pass through solid objects.
Red blade: taking the form of solid red beam 4 inches thick, it is a counter to the green dome. It can cut through any physical object, absorbing the matter to fuel it. While no known physical material can stop it, it is unable to break through magic protection.
Blue field: one of the lesser used abilities, this dome can reverse the effects of the green dome, returning energy to those it has taken from, or giving energy to those within the field. While the most vulnerable, no damage can be dealt while inside the dome. It is short lasting though, as it can only be activated if there is energy absorbed
Purple fog: One of its most devastating abilities, the fog causes those who come into contact with it to experience their worst fears, or relive their worst moments in their life. The drawback is that while the foe suffers these effects, the host sees the apparitions as well until the fog is lifted.
Black ink: created inside the orb when it has gathered energy, Nyrix is capable of forging anything from the ink with the right amount of energy to fuel it. These items take on a strengthened form of their real world counter.
Weapons: during the first usage of the cursed orb, the wielder created three weapons to protect the holder without relying on the sphere.
Subjuun: A serrated blade at the full length of two point six feet. This was the weapon made, solid black with a leather wrapped handle. The blade is strong and steady, unbreakable and highly tensile. The blade can create a red and green hue, both with the similar abilities to the green dome and red beam, able to cut through physical and magical objects with ease.
Souzen: the second weapon, a standard kite shield that has a sharpened edge. The faint image of a winged snake eating its tail with a sword going through the middle can be made out on the shield as it's crest. The shield can create a green dome around the target to stop all energy coming towards the target, though leaving them immobile. A red circle can be released from around the edge to a full six foot radius that can cut through all objects, though leave the target exposed upon the sides.
Soljurn: As the last weapon, the wielder created a white dagger in the hopes to purge Nyrix. The blade is forged of the blue dome, able to break any illusion and remove parasitic effects upon the target of the blade. Otherwise the blade is unable to damage any being that is in essence pure.
History: unknown of its birth, Nyrix was created as a result of pact used to cure an ailing seer. She pleaded with Cyaegha to stay alive and remove her curse, promising the great old one a way free. Cyaegha, in her contempt that a lowly mortal would make such a pretty offer, decided to grant her request, though at the cost of her power and mortality. The seer, fearing her own mortality agreed, and sealed the pact in blood. Unknown to the seer, Cyaegha blessed the now cursed orb with its nilhism, granting it the power to consume all forms of life, physical or otherwise. The woman was cursed with one final gift of sight, the ability to see when the object was used, and given life until the orb was destroyed.
