Luxas’s family seemed normal. His parents lived in Vacuo, had three children, two boys and a girl, with him being the youngest, and overall they seemed to be rather ordinary. Behind that façade there was a shadowy secret. The Umbrans were of a long line of warriors and assassins that had been used in secret during countless conflicts in the world of remnant. In recent times, with the real wars seemingly at an end, they had been involved in a different type of war: A corporate war. Assigned with sabotaging, threatening, and even killing for the highest bidder, the Umbran family tree was knee deep in blood both literally and figuratively. Traditions of combat, stealth, and, above all, secrecy were passed down between generations, teaching children to fight sometimes as soon as walking was mastered.
Lux’s immediate family were different though. They sought to separate themselves from that black part of their family line, refusing to take part. His parents left that life, and taught them combat, but for defense against any repercussions that might come from the rest of their family or their enemies. They, and eventually his older siblings all became huntsmen and huntresses, and intended to enroll him to do the same once he was old enough. After hunting accidents took both his Mother and Father within days of each other however, his siblings, fearing more at work than just fate, fled Vacuo with him to the island of Patch when he was still young. He was enrolled in Signal, and achieved high marks, and eventually was ready to enter Beacon at only 16. While he wants to be a great huntsman, he also knows that whomever targeted his parents may potentially come for him and his siblings as well, and he fully intends on finding them before they can do so.
