Name:Violet, or just 'Vi'
Apparent Age:Late Teens
Background:Violet is a would-be victim lucky enough to be a bit prettier and smarter than most procured for for the Grigorovs. It was discovered that before her unfortunate change of circumstances, she was the pampered only child of a wealthy man, and thus literate and well-educated. Lord Alwah decided that she could be of use as more than a passing meal, as his daughters maidservant.
She was left alive to undergo the change herself, and then turned her over to the lower household to be trained and educated in her new duties. Her upbringing made her well suited to the task, already familiar with the usual manners and courtesies, though now she's the servant rather than being served...but any haughtiness she once possessed was beaten out of her by sharp lessons in humility. For the most part, her job is to cook and clean, serve at table, dress and bathe her mistress, arrange her wardrobe and possessions, and perform any other basic tasks deemed too menial for noble hands, present and attentive when needed and invisible when not. But additionally, she's a constant companion, an open ear to vent her frustrations to and perhaps occasionally provide her own opinion or advice, depending on Rana's mood.
Personality:When the eyes of her masters are upon her, Violet is sweet, demure, and obedient, as expected of her...she's terrified of the male Grigorov's, especially Adrian, and she is still reluctant in speaking her mind to Rana for fear of losing her favor. But when she does speak freely, she's sharp-witted and very observant, able to read people, their intentions and motivations.
More interestingly, she's a genuinely good person, even as a Vampire. She's terrified of blood and killing, preferring to take her sustenance in a glass or bowl, pretending she doesn't know exactly what it is. She feels a kinship with Janus because like her, he never chose this life for himself, their becoming what they are a cruel twist of fate rather than a conscious decision. But even he scares her in his willingness and even eagerness to do violence, and his almost slave-like devotion to the Grigorov's. Violet obeys out of self-preservation, while Jan does so out of true loyalty.
Appearance:A short, slender girl with very pale skin, flawless but for a dusting of freckles, and short red hair that near-matches the blood red of her eyes. She is dressed traditionally as a maid, a frilly white blouse with a black vest and skirt.
I'll put up sheets for at least one more, and anyone else we happen upon who seems relevant enough to deserve one.
