David grinned happily and clapped his hands. "Yes! Yes! I'll do better next time, mommy."
David grinned happily and clapped his hands. "Yes! Yes! I'll do better next time, mommy."

"As long as you try. That's all we can ask. You know effort is more important than results, right? That holds for school, too."
David nodded solemnly. "Okay. I will remember that. I'll always try my best."

"But never at too great a cost to yourself. Your own health and well-being are the most important things in the world."
Roger nodded in agreement. "Your mother is right. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you think that there is something too big for you to handle alone." David looked up at him with wide eyes and nodded again.
"I will daddy!"

Maeva smiled. "Good boy. Why don't you get yourself a glass of juice, then mommy and daddy can get ready to take you to school."
David grinned and carefully poured himself a glass of juice. He drank it happily before putting his cup in the sink and the juice back in the refrigerator. He looked up at his parents before grabbing his backpack. He was practically bouncing up and down with excitement. "I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready!"

Maeva smiled and headed into their bedroom to change into proper clothes and quickly brush her teeth.
Roger grinned. "I know you are, son. But mommy and daddy aren't ready quite yet." He said with a chuckle. He kissed the top of his forehead to try and settle him down. "Just take a seat on the couch and we'll be ready soon." David did what he was told but even then, he was still bouncing in his seat. Roger chuckled and followed Maeva and got ready himself. He kissed her lips after she was done brushing her teeth.
"Ready?" He asked softly before he started brushing his own teeth.

"Hardly," she said with a soft chuckle. "I'm glad he's so excited. If he was scared I don't know if I would have let him go."
