June looked between Roger and Maeva as she let out a sob and fell to her knees. For a moment, she was angry at them. They were the reason that he was at school that day. But if what they were saying is true, then it wasn't truly their fault. They were only trying to help. "Then why did my baby have to die?" She asked, looking up at them. Roger bit his lip and looked away.
"I don't know. We didn't want him to. We thought that we could change his fate." He said softly. "It's something that we have to live with for the rest of our lives." John held Milly close as he listened. He kissed her hair before picking her up.
"Why didn't you just tell us?" He asked, a bit hurt.
"Because it would have sounding fu-" Roger glanced at Milly. "freaking nuts. We didn't think you would believe us. I mean, why would you?"
