David closed his textbook and got up, walking to his room and shutting the door behind him, just narrowly stopping himself from slamming it shut. He sat on his bed and pulled his knees to his chest, trying to stop himself from crying.

Maeva closed her eyes and ran a hand through her hair. She could almost taste how upset he was. She silently reached for Roger's hand and held it.
Roger took it and kissed her cheek. "He'll cool off. I'm sure of it." He murmured. He glanced in the direction that David went. "I... I just want things to go back to normal."
