"I... I don't want to say." He touches her hand. "Please, lady. You're pretty. Gorgeous even, but your looks won't help you if they find out that you know. It hurt. What they did to me hurt like literal hell. Physically and mentally. The physical scars were healed but I still feel the sting." He looked her dead in the eyes.

She drew her eyebrows together as he spoke. With his hand on hers like that, she instantly knew exactly how he felt while he described it. And he had not been exaggerating. It felt all sorts of awful. It reminded her of her time in hell with Becky. The way she had chained her up, and that black stuff had slowly consumed her, filling her with a deep, deep dread, and nothing else. She tried to hide the fact that she was starting to tremble and pulled her hand away, biting her lips. She looked down. "...I-I'm sorry that happened to you," she said softly. She knew he was still hurting, and it made her feel even worse for using him. She just wanted to leave now.
Myron nodded. "Me too. But I can't leave. I'm stuck here, same as you. Same as all of us. We can't leave." He whispered. "Keep your head down and do as you're told. Don't pursue this farther. Or else both you and I will disappear."
