He nodded. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't push but I do want to know more about you."

"I... I guess I get that," she said, though she sounded quite strained. She was fighting hard against her instinctive reaction, which was a strong urge to push him away or try to distract him.

[Sparkz]

He looked her in the eye and kissed her forehead. "I know you want to hide from this... To hide this from me but we're in this together right?" He tucked some of her hair behind her ear with a smile.

She looked at him, and touched her forehead to his as a tear rolled down her cheek. He used her own words against her, and she hated that he was right. "....It hurts," she murmured softly.

[Sparkz]

He gently brushed the tear away with his thumb. "I can see that." He murmured back. "And I hate the fact that it does. Perhaps telling someone about it will help ease the hurt in the long run."

[NoviDome]

She closed her eyes briefly and returned to the pot. She stirred in it slowly, keeping silent. She was trying to keep her mind from circling back.

[Sparkz]

Roger remained silent as she returned to stirring the pot. He bit his lip before grabbing two plates and setting them on the counter. He truly wanted to know more about her. He was starting to realize just how little he knew about her and how little she knew about him. They really haven't had the chance to get to knew each other's pasts all that well. They've been just on survivor mode and focused on the present or future to worry about the past. "I... I don't mean to cause pain or anything. Honest."

She took a deep breath and looked at him before nodding. "...I know. I know you don't. I'm sorry."

[Sparkz]

"It's okay. You have nothing to apologize for. Seems we both have issues with hiding what's wrong."

She chuckled softly and wiped her eyes. "We're perfect for each other."
