Maeva's chest tightened a little when she said that. In the past, yes, her feelings had not been wrong yet, but maybe that was just dumb luck. She hoped that it was. Because if her feeling was always right... she and Roger were in for a bad time here.
"...It seems that way, yes," she said softly.
"Then, focus on that feeling. Meditate on it. With practice, those feelings can become visions of the future."

She shifted a little, uneasy. "...What about the past?"
"Yes. Though don't get those confused with memories."

"Or flashbacks," she murmured to herself. She didn't think what happened the day before had been because of her 'talent', but she supposed it could have been amplified by it. "Okay, so... what will you have me do?"
The healer smiled and guided Maeva to a cushion. "Sit here." The healer sat down across from her. "This is an exercise I want you to do. Cross your legs and close your eyes. I want you to empty you mind. Think of nothing. Let thoughts pass right though, never focusing on them. This is how your visions come to life."

Maeva sat down as instructed, and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and listened to the healer's words, frowning a little. How exactly was she supposed to think of nothing? She'd heard things like this before, but she'd never attempted to meditate herself, and there were loads of different thoughts flying through her head that she couldn't shake easily.
The healer sat across from her and simply watched. She smiled softly. "Focus, my dear. You're not focusing."
