[M] Plagued Encounters (Sparkz and NoviDome)

John nodded. "Milly did want a hug from me and I was able to give her one. Perhaps that is a good sign." John said.
"that sounds like a good sign to me." Roger said with a smile. David came running up to show off a cool rock that he had found. Roger smiled and marvelled at it and John did much the same, a smile breaking out on his face. When David ran off again, John watched him go.
"I think the funeral will be the hardest. Perhaps once his body is laid to rest, his spirit will be too." John said softly.
"That can help. But not always. I wouldn't get my hopes up." Roger said gently.
"Oh. That is good to know."
"Yeah, I wish it were that easy. It all just takes time."

Milly cried into Maeva's shoulder until the tears ran out, and she slowly calmed down. Maeva continued to stroke her hair, and gently wiped away her tears.
"You're not alone, Milly. Harry may be gone, but your parents understand you much better now, and you have David, and me and David's dad. We'll be here for you too, whatever you need. You can always talk to me. I can help you understand what you can do, and help make it more manageable. When you're ready." Milly nodded and sighed softly.
"...I want my dad." Maeva smiled a little and nodded, standing up.
"Okay. Let's go to your dad." She offered her her hand, and Milly took it. She hopped off of the bench and Maeva led her to where John and Roger were sitting. When they were close enough, Milly let go of Maeva's hand and threw her arms around her dad's neck, hugging him tightly.

John looked at Milly and happily hugged her tightly. He held her in his arms and sighed softly. "I got you baby." He murmured. He closed his eyes and cried softly. He stroked her hair. "I love you, Milly."

Milly sobbed softly and nodded, her face buried in his shoulder. "...I love you too daddy," she murmured.

He gently rocked her as they embraced. "Did talking to David's mom help?" He asked softly.

She nodded slowly, sniffling. "...She's nice."

He pulled away slightly and wiped her tears gently. "Yeah. She is, isn't she?" He kissed her forehead. "Are you feeling okay?"

Milly just shrugged and looked down. "I don't know."

He smiled patiently. "That's okay." He kissed her cheek. "I love you."

She nodded and swiped at her eyes, sniffling softly. "...When are we going to see Harry again?" she asked reluctantly.
