David looked at Jimmy. "Hey. It's okay. I know. My dad is special. He can do m-" once again, David's voice was cut off. He groaned. This was really not the time for this. "What I mean is that my dad can help you. He's really good at it." He lifted up his own shirt to reveal that all of the bruises that he had before were now all gone. "see? I'm better now. And you can be too."
"Yeah. It'd be easier if he wasn't concussed." He squeezed her hand. "I hope he lets me help."

David looked at Jimmy. "Please. Just trust me. This can't be the weirdest thing I've asked you to do."

"Shit yes, it is!" Jimmy exclaimed, grabbing his head with his hands. It was hurting exponentially more with each inexplicable sight. "At least everything else made sense! Magic's not real!"
David frowned. He knew differently. He could do magic but he couldn't show it to Jimmy. He thought for a moment before lifting his shirt and showing him the few marks that he had on his skin. "Did my dad show you his?"
