"You don't want to get a tummy ache," Maeva chimed in, blowing on her cup of tea.

David slowed down after that and carefully ate and enjoyed his dessert. He hummed happily and continued to bounce in his chair.

Maeva looked at Roger and smiled happily. She was so glad to see their son enjoying himself like this.

Once they all enjoyed the rest of their meal, Roger paid and took David's hand as they walked out of the eating area. He took another quick look around and no one was paying them too much attention. He sighed with relief and flashed Maeva a smile. Their adventure had been a success.

She smiled back, and took David's other hand.
"Did you have fun sweetheart?" she asked him.

David nodded happily. "I did mommy! This is the best day ever!"

She smiled and bent down to kiss his hair. Then she looked at Roger. "Are we heading home, or do we have to go shopping still?"

[Sparkz]

Roger smiled. "I have some shopping to do. Not a lot though. I want to head home soon."

"Will we go together or shall I play with David while you shop?"

[Sparkz]

Roger glanced in the direction of the store. "Um... Can you just play with him? The store is big and crowded..."
