Ooh, what if there was a particularly zealous religious hate group against vampires, and that factoered in somehow? Maybe they're killing off vampires and thinking they're doing the right thing?
What I was thinking, was something pretty intense and a little off the rails maybe.
My idea centers around this idea "Dawn of the Eternal Night"
Basically we enjoy (RP) through this night maybe another day and night and then one of those nights. The night never ends. The sun does not rise. A group of vampires have cast a dark spell over the city literally, causing the night to never end. This is part of a plot lead by this group to completely take over the city. From outside the city it would look like a thick and intense fog surrounds the city for miles from top to bottom. From the inside it would look like nighttime. During the "day" if you were in the city looking out with a unobstructed view in the distance all around the city you would see nothing but the blackness of night with a thin band of light resting in the skies about the city casting little more light than the moon on a bright night. There are no stars to be seen while the spell continues.
The magically induced night empowers the vampires and brings out their darker more savage nature. (Could lead to some interesting interpersonal conflicts where the vampires have to resist attacking their new human "friends").
Then once they get their bearings in this world of darkness they would set out, after coming to the conclusion that it is for the best, to try and figure out what is going on and how to stop it. If for no other reason that no human is allowed to leave the city currently.

I like that idea. It sounds cool. Plus, it gives me an idea as to how it could play out into an ending/equal of sorts.

Quick question. What do you mean when you say "it would likely be noticeable to Ally which part of his personality was showing through at the moment."
Also I am working on a post but I am curious what you where thinking moving forward. Did you want to go with the idea I came up with or what?

I mean Adrian's dual personality- the one that arose when he became a vampire ( which is more dangerous, mischievious, and flirty) vs what remains of his human nature
And yeah, probably going with your idea.
