Strengths:

Reaver: Conn grew up a blade in his hand, ship under his feet, and pillage as his target. With 14 years of experience raiding, Conn is an excellent warrior and is always ready for a fight.
Biggun: Conn is larger than most people he meets; And so he has an intimidating presence. A presence he often uses to get things done where violence won't work.
Old Salt: Conn has spent much of his life at sea, and so he understands her better than most. He can pilot most ships; He knows how to spot hazards under water; He can make fairly accurate guesstimates about the weather; And he can read the stars and know almost exactly where they are.

Weaknesses:

Barbarian: Conn's diplomatic experience is limited to threatening another or sticking them with a blade. So matters requiring delicate negotiations are not fighting to Conn's expertise.
Suspect: Conn is taller than most people he meets, so he stands out in a crowd. This makes hiding from someone, or simply trying to avoid attention, more difficult for him.
Stranger Lands: Conn is familiar with the sea, not so much the lands it surrounds. Aside from his homeland, Conn is unfamiliar with most customs. And has no real knowledge of landscapes. While he can read a map, without one land voyages will likely result in the Vestenmannavnjaran becoming lost.

Description: A large (6'6") heavily muscled man, he moves with the flowing gait of one who has spent the majority of his life at sea. His face, arms and chest are tanned. His right hand is missing the top of his ring and middle finger from the top knuckle up. His clothes are all made of leather, wool or linen the majority of which is salt stained. He is quick to laugh, and quicker to anger; Conn tries to enjoy the finer things in life without wrapping himself in the silks and satins of the Vendel. Conn wears three handaxes, and a pair of longswords; And when aware of upcoming conflicts he carries his roundshield with him.

History: Conn was always a large child, something he took advantage of his entire youth. Conn began to learn the Kjemper style at age 10, hoping to start raiding; Something his father wanted his sons to wait on. Disobeying his father’s direct commands he posed as an older boy to begin his career at sea.

On his second longship, Conn began learning the Siggursdottir style when he lost the tips of two of his fingers trying to catch a thrown handaxe. In the midst of the drunken laughing the fifteen year old raider had his wounds tended to; And was given his first handaxe by the one who would teach him. She was his favorite teacher, for a number of reasons.

By the age of 20 Conn had already begun learning the Urostifter style, from a warrior in the twilight of his life. Conn was leading his own raids from a longship of his own, and building a decent reputation. It all fell apart at the whim of the harshest of Conn's mistresses, the Sea.

His ship, crew and majority of his hard earned loot were dashed apart in a storm. Conn had only his weapons and a chunk of the ship. The latter of which he lay across, clinging to it for his life. After a day lost afloat, he was drug from the sea by Ryder, and recovered aboard the El Huracan. The Vestenmannavnjaran proved his worth in the time since, becoming the Numan's most trusted officer.

Strengths:

Fleet & Flexible: Sol has never been particularly strong in body but she makes up for that for her speed and maneuverability. She is capable doing feats of agility and flexibility finding it good fun to leap and bound and flip over stone walls, small creeks and climb small cliffs when out and about.
Confident and proud: Sol knows what she is capable of, though may at times forget what her weaknesses are in her pride. when she strays into overconfidence this lands her in hot water, But she is not easily intimidated or frighted and will stand up for herself.
Self motivated student: Sol is willing to and is capable of learning by watching, she may bulk at asking to be taught but she wont refuse should someone offer.

Weaknesses:

Not totally sea worthy: While Sol is completely home at land It takes her a while to find her sea legs each and every time. She'll never admit it out loud but not only is the rocking is nauseating at times and the ship is cramped.
Impatient and impulsive: This often lands her into trouble both for her smart mouth and actions she hasn't or wont completely think through before doing them (like stowing away).
On the small side: Sol has always been a bit on the smaller side, even for her people and lacks in the same muscle that others have. What she lacks in strength she makes up for with her speed, and a smart mouth.
Stubborn: Sol finds it hard, almost impossible to ask for help, acting and perhaps even thinking that she has something to prove and so will most likely try to do something herself even if she knows she will fail.

Solveig who prefers to go by Sol is a confident, stubborn mouthy young women who acts, and perhaps believes that she has something to prove to everyone. Once she's set her mind to something its hard to sway her from it. She longs for adventure far beyond her home and went against her parents express desire that she wait and took a page from her uncle Conn's book, in less Conn fashion. She aspires to be just as bold and brave as her uncle before her, but may not tell him that out loud.

History: Sol spent most of her life under the watchful perfection of her mother who perhaps fawned over her a bit to much because she was so much smaller then any other children her age. Her father always seemed to curse his luck at having a frail daughter first above a strong boy not that he loved her any less because of it. And with all this Sol seemed to go out of her way to prove that she was not as fragile as she appeared. Getting dirty, braking things and doing chores like anyone else.

She loved to hear stories of her uncle Conn, and other great tales of voyages and fights. When she could get her hands around a sword handle proper she began to learn but was soon drawn to the bow finding it much easier to handle for her smaller size. And she only grew more skilled as she aged. She dabbled and lightly studied various other skills and arts as knowledge was her second greatest weapon and through this study she was able to find the runes and learn two of them. One of which she tattooed to her body and the other she carved into her weapon of choice.

As her 16th birthday drew near she made up her mind that she wanted to see more beyond her homeland, as her uncle before her. Against her parents express wishes and with a little bit of digging she left after her uncle to take part in his new adventure, stowing away on the ship he was master of and keeping to herself until they were to far out to sea to turn around and send her back.
