Well I meant more a higher occurrence of missing people, and like can he check the morgue reports for anything matching their description. Also I'd ask about the church as well and if he'd heard anything weird that might be related to them.

Yeah, probably. In regards to the church, you can get a basic rundown on their belief systems, their holy days, rules, etc. etc. I can PM you with all the information if you want. Also, the connection between the church and the disappearances is tenuous at best, because only very recently have people started noticing the disappearances.
