"I am fine. I am sorry..." She sat down outside and sighed.
"I am fine. I am sorry..." She sat down outside and sighed.
"Talk to me, Anna," he said softly, continuing on his way.
"There is nothing to say." She finally got her body moving and started going to meet him halfway.
"Start with why you ran off."
"Did you not hear what she said or something." She said annoyed. "Put two and two together." She rolled her eyes knowing he couldn't see her right now.
"Anna, god damn it! You think that didn't upset me too? You promised we'd try everything we could to keep you from getting taken, and disappearing like that is really not helping."
"I-I'm sorry." She sighed finally seeing Ian in sight. "You're right but at least I am still here and not taken." She looked around her hoping to see no one suspicious.
He nodded at her and hung up the phone as he caught up. He pulled her into a hug. "...I'm sorry too. This is all a lot. I know."
She hugged him tightly. "I don't want you to be more involved in this but I know I can't stop you..." She sighed. "No more people need to die or get tortured or anything."
He nodded into her hair. "Let's make it stop, then." He pulled away a little and looked at her. "Do you know what Eva meant by 'taking away her voice'?" he asked softly.
