"I mean, we can if you want to." She was unsure of what she wanted to do. She just felt awkward not knowing if he remembered the night before.
"I mean, we can if you want to." She was unsure of what she wanted to do. She just felt awkward not knowing if he remembered the night before.
He grinned. "Yes, but do you want to?"
"We can, We don't really have anything else to do." She giggled.
He chuckled. "You still didn't answer my question..."
"S-Sorry...I just don't know how to answer..." she sighed
Ian looked at her, biting his lips. She didn't know what she wanted, and he had a strong feeling it was because in her life, in her situation, she was never asked what she wanted. She was always told. He looked down at his hands. This was exactly why he felt guilty about last night.
"A-Are you ok." She walked back over to him and took his hands. She looked into his eyes worriedly. "I'm sorry.."
He looked at her and sighed. "Listen, Anna, I... I feel bad about last night. I shouldn't have let myself go like that. J-Just say the word if you want me to back off. It's totally fine, I won't be mad, I promise."
She looked down. "W-why w-would you say that..?" She stuttered and tears started falling. "I would never ask you to back off...." She trailed off, she wished she said that she needed him but she didn't want to scare him off.
He bit his lips. He wanted to believe she meant that, but he couldn't be sure. "...I really like you, Anna. But I want to make it perfectly clear that you have no obligation whatsoever towards me. The fact that you... don't really have anybody else right now, or the fact that we went through... all of that shit together, or the fact that I like you, none of that needs to matter to you. None of that means you don't have a choice. Okay?"
