Spoiler: RPs and 29 Guidlines
Spoiler: The stories I've written x50
Name: Da'lenfen (self named)
Boranehn (birth name)
Race: Dalish
Age: 34
Gender: Male
PoB: The woods
Side: Wardens
Class: Mage
Specialization: Shapeshifter/Entropic caster
Appearance: Despite his age, Fen does not keep much pride in his physical appearance. He stands tall at 6'2 in height, though he does seem to hunch over more often than not, which many attribute to his constant shifting and his minor dementia. His silver hair is unkempt yet tied into a ponytail along his back, though he calls it a wolf tail. He has a naturally sharp jawline that is framed well with his vallaslin of Fen'harel. The markings were done in black ink, giving it a much sharper appearance against his pale skin. Many claim that his eyes are as blue as a wolf.
Da'lenfen's Vallaslin
His normal outfit consists of a wolf helm to blend in with the forests, a simple cloak of fur along his back that hides his steel chest place, a rich white coloring trimmed out with silver along the edges for protection. He wears simple leather pants for protection against the underbrush of the woods. Underneath his armor and simple cloth shirt, his body is decorated with scars and markings, both from his own clan branding him a trickster and traitor due to the god he follows.
Skills:
Animalistic: Fen has spent several years in the woods, learning the way of the animals therein, learning how to move silently like the beast and hide his presence when needed.
Predator: Fen seems to have a near endless amount of stamina to fight and move with, able to follow and hunt his target beyond what most opponents can do. This also translates to his fighting, able to continue fighting beyond most.
Beast brawler: Fen has never learned to use a weapon, prefering close combat. As such, his fighting style revolves around moves based upon animals, making him a hard opponent to read and fight against.
Herbalist: Having spent years in the woods had taught Fen how to use the local flora to create salves to heal and stave off poisons.
Spells:
Wolf form: A change to the bear transformation, this spell Shapeshifts him to a large wolf, roughly the size of a grizzly bear. This form grants him the howl and claw ability while transformed.
Waking nightmare:
This spell targets all enemies within his range, will either cause opponents to join his side, become paralyzed for a short while, or start attacking other enemies randomly. Those of a strong constitution can resist this spell, though those asleep cannot resist this.
Disorientate:
This spell manipulates the enemies perception of the world. leaving them unable to fight effectively or defend themselves properly.
Weapons:.Spoiler: Wolf Claw
Armor:
Chestplate of the bear- A silversteel plate that he had found abandoned in the forest, Fen took it as a sign of his chosen deity marking him for a higher purpose. The edges are trimmed in silver, and the sigil of the bear has been engraved in the very center, though age has tarnished it enough to make it easy to mistake it for a wolf.
Equipment: Fen carries around a water skin, a round stone, and several strips of cloth. Everything else he sources from nature.
Runes:
Sigil of Great Bear: This rune gives a massive boost to his mana and stamina. This does hinder his recovery of both. Despite this, he uses this heavily to his advantage.
Personality: Fen is a wary and watchful man. Despite the brash actions of his youth, years spent among the beasts have calmed his anger yet sharpened his paranoia and warriness of people. Though he deals with minor dementia from his blood, Fen is cautionary towards humans and those he considers sentient, knowing that the overly intelligent are the only who lie. Only those who he has deemed a part of his pact does he give them his loyalty and trust.
Those who have earned his ire know it, regardless of whether they are of his pack or not. He does follow the words of his elders when problems arise, despite several that gave him the moniker of the lone wolf.
Backstory:
Boranehn doesn't remember too much of his own childhood, though that is due to his own neglectful nature. He knew his parents had been afflicted by the werewolf curse, which had been a part of his own blood. Those who were willing to talk about it claimed him a Nuem esha'lin until he took the Joining trial of the Wardens, to honor his family's debt to them. He had spent the time prior to this mostly living among the animals when not being trained by the keeper, his great uncle. The man had taken it upon himself to help train him to calm the storm beneath the surface, but he had only helped strengthen his desire to fight.
Fen had been trained in the magic of the beast, as he had shown the most draw to that and the most ease to it. His family and people found it a shock when, instead of a bear, his form took that of a wolf instead, making many believe that he was an ill omen to his tribe and a large risk, which only drove him more to believe that he had been born for a purpose other than preserving the history of his people. He took it as a sign and began to follow Fen'harel, even demanding that he have the marking of the dread wolf despite protests of his family. Once he was marked, he left the safety of his village and joined the Wardens properly, passing the Joining with only minor effects.
The taint of the darkspawn began to warp his thoughts, making himself believe himself chosen by Fen'harel, as either his hosf, or a descendant from the ancient god, though without any proof to this. His feelings were even more cemented as he came across a chestplate in the woods of the free marsh during one of his first jobs as a warden. The piece was found just outside of an animal den, and he knew it was calling to him, to help the beasts and land rebel against the encroaching and destruction from both ill beings and the Blight that threatened to burn the lands.
As a way to announce his own truth to the world, he denounced his birth name and rebirthed himself under a new name. A name he knew called to his very core .
