Just saw this and it looks interesting. Never heard of this series before. Need to research more.

    EDIT:
Currently have two characters in mind. A hybrid shaker/stranger, the other is brute.

If I can't do both, any preference?

    Can we play villians?

Shaker/stranger is good for variety, brute is good for being a front liner. Either would make you relatively unique in the team. I think the Brockton Bay Protectorate only has one Brute, and he only has that rating because he can take a hit, not because he's strong.

No villains, because honestly? Each faction is complicated enough that you'd basically be doing a 1x1 with me. You can do a reformed villain. That would require a rebranding. Assault is a former villain.
Be wary of paramilitaries. When the men with guns who have always claimed to be against the system start wearing uniforms and marching around with torches and pictures of a Leader, the end is nigh. When the pro-leader paramilitary and the official police and military intermingle, the end has come.

You could also try for an antihero. Someone who's made a few mistakes but has good intentions. They are not the most likeable and have definite flaws, but after wrestling with their conscious, they do the right thing. While they may skirt the edge of evil, they never really cross the line.

Maybe they have someone who knows their real side?

Examples are Mad Max, Severus Snape, Riddick, V, etc.

The brute if not a villain would definitely be antihero.

V I would not consider an antihero least not the way I played her/him in my multiple play throughs.

You can play an antihero type, it's been done in canon. Shadow Stalker, a Ward, was (and still is) a pretty violent vigilante before she got recruited.

With hybrids do they have multiple trigger events or is it a single trigger event or would it be a single trigger event that happens in stages?

The fandom site didn't really go into detail about triggers.

It's usually just one trigger event. Generally, your triggers have something to do with how your power manifests, but that's not always the case.

Second triggers are possible, but it's so incredibly rare that only one Protectorate member is registered to have had one; Narwhal, the leader of a PRT area in Canada.

The power you call forth is the one you feel you need in the moment, so figure out what would have made you call forth that power?
