In this RP, you'll be a US squad in Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

The RP will follow the adventures or misadventures of your unit.

Most people didn't want to join the war in 1955
and several were right out of high school, or in the middle of college.
the USA fought as allies to south Vietnam against communist North Vietnam.

Women did serve at this time, I checked. They served in combat, as medics, and as information gathering. There is also note of at least 1 15-year-old marine, though I suggest not going less than 18 years of age.

The normal terrain is dense jungle full of nasty traps with Vietgong under any bush you see.

Bulky bags and radios
m60s, M14s, M16s, and Grease guns the common primary of the US military, (but there are others noted that the US used at the time).
