It was rather an ordinary day. The sun shone overhead, but winter still had its claws tightly wrapped around the city. The streets were chilly, especially if one stood in the shade of the tall buildings where the sun couldn't reach. Seeing that it was almost high noon, there weren't many people out and about. Most were at work, school and the like. The few that were out either were having a nice day off or their didn't job didn't entail set working days and hours. The latter was the case for a certain lad. Most of the time, he chose alone what he'll be doing at his job and when he'll be doing it and how he'll be doing it. People would kill for that kind of job, right? Well, his work sometimes included offing someone. There was always a reason behind it. There was no point in getting rid off someone because they accidentally brushed against you. Though, when they fail to pay the debts they racked up or even try to hide to try and escape it all, that's when murder became justifiable. Granted, to him, the fear one could make them feel was a lot more fun than straight up just shooting them. There were days where just a bullet between the eyes would do the trick and there were others where torture - either physical or psychological - seemed a lot more fitting. Sometimes leaving the dirty work to other people was better. He found himself to be busy most of the time and if he decided he was busy, well there was little to nothing that could peel him away from his work.
Today was a relaxing kind of day. The weather was okay. Unlike for some people, it wasn't cold for him. He was accustomed to the cold, seeing that he grew up in a rather cold country. The day being relaxing didn't mean he didn't have things to do. He always had things to do. On today's agenda was a more simple task. He was trying to scope out any kind of jewelery store. He wanted to send some guy some jewelery as a friendly reminder. Soon enough, he spotted a small shop across the street. Without checking for cars, he crossed, his canine walking right in step with him, her flank pressed against his leg. He paused at the entrance for a second so that a person exists before he stepped inside. He didn't take off the reflective sunglasses he wore when he went in. They were there to prevent people from starting eye-contact with him. He'll only engage in that if he starts it. He wore sunglasses so often that some people, that didn't see him often, didn't even see him without sunglasses. It became a part of his brand and image. On the other hand, some said that his piercing glare framed him better than the glasses.
"I'm gonna assume the dog may come in." Aksel stated from the entrance. His voice was on the quieter side, soothing and smooth as if his words were practised a thousand times before being said. He glanced down at the canine. It had a black vest on. It read that she was a service dog, even though she wasn't officially. No matter. He still had papers for her that appeared real.
Without waiting for a reply, the lad entered the store. His eyes flitted around before settling on a woman behind the counter. It only took him a mere few seconds to analyse her a little. He liked to know who he was dealing with. "Point me to your rings." he requested. He wasn't about to browse around. He expected to be serviced. A ring seemed like the perfect little thing to remind his client of the commitment he made to him when he signed something.
For someone that entered a jewelery store, he didn't really look the type. He wore dark red dungeeres and a simple navy t-shirt beneath. Didn't really look like someone interested in jewels. He could dress better and had more expensive clothes, but this was what he found himself in today. The clothes were comfortable and he could move around in them normally - his movement wasn't restricted in any way. And that was very important. He carried maybe a little too much money in his pockets, but he wasn't afraid of getting mugged.
Aksel scanned the store a little and then approached the woman completely. He liked shiny things, but never was that interested in wearing jewelry. The closest thing he had were a few piercings in his ears. Farther from that, he wasn't going.
