Terminator RP

Okay so I watched almost all the movies and I guess there was a series? And the closest i have to the actual war was Terminator Salvation. Now I can create a story line to where a group of soldiers take on the impossible task to help John Connor send his future father into the past. If anybody is interest or if anyone wants to Co-GM with me on this let me know. I really want to try this RP out.

I have only really seen 1-3 so much of the "canon" lore is lost on me.

If this is taking place in the Future, are you aiming to play just as strictly humans? Would this be as close to the movies as possible or are we able to create new timelines/creative liberties. At least as much as the sequalitus does.

Yes this would be in the future where the Robots have taken over.

I'd say yes to strictly humans but also if anyone wants to play as a T-800. There would be a few limited to such. As in the movies and video games have explained. Capturing a T-800 is extremely difficult. Reprommaing it's main objective and such.

I want it to be close to the timelines but not being OP about it. Seeing how the New Terminator movies have brought so much confusions. Like have you noticed the change in the military uniforms?

Aside from the changes to actors, major overlapping timelines, and occasionaly just disregarding entire movies worth of efforts, I have not taken uniform changes too deeply. Kind of like how even the t-800 design gets tweaked over time.

At this point the only canon I can use to attempt to grasp the franchise is: Time travel done messed up time continuity and its creating a bunch of different parallel realities.

And yet I had never seen the actual war in any of the movies but Terminator Salvation was close. That was a peak at seeing how it looks. Kind of like a post apocalypse scene.

But the first 3 movies got me curious of how the humans got their hands on the T-800s and how bad it went to get to the time machines.

That would be because:
John Conner is dead and the Mexican girl is the new John Conner.
Skynet is not the enemy it is dead, no clue what the enemy robot leader is called.

But.....I wasn't talking about the new movie. I was talking about the old movies. The three movies with John Connor. Or Four if you wanna count Salvation.
