    Default Space Role Play

    Congratulations! You are a veteran of the Imperial military, having served five terms of service and eligible for retirement. One of you belongs to the scout service, and have obtained on loan from the mothball fleet a title for a small scout ship.

    It has four cabins, all of which are double occupancy. It can skim gas giants or water worlds for fuel, comes with an aircar, small cargo space, lifetime service from any suitably equip scout base and a life support system that begins to smell bad after two weeks, becoming increasingly foul until it's purged. (it can't be all good)

    Its current captain wants to explore the fringe - are there any adventurers willing to explore the frontier edge of Imperial space?

    Several! Scouts are small ships. Any alien would need to be of human-sized stature or smaller, as well as compatible with a human-type environment.

    There are also some genetically modified chimaera types - wolves, lions, ape types are typical.

    Sorry, no Schizo or Everyman Subject-Matter Expert Units in this rp. The Imperium has faced a few "robot uprisings" in its long past, so the use of robots are restricted and regulated. If you wish to have a service android or smart luggage, that could be arranged. Their programming and a governor unit installed prohibits them from using weapons. They are also of limited strength and movement.

    Ahh, okay. So on a scale from Guardians of Ga’Hoole to Splice (2009), with Zootopia somewhere in the middle, how human are they? Fully animal with just human intelligence, anthropomorphic, or more human with some animalistic aspects?

    It's a small ship. No tanks, WMDs, no power suits - all of that is highly restricted. As you're retired veterans, you've little need to have those anyway. Personal weapons are allowed and highly recommended, just remember to check local laws on carrying weapons planet-side. Personal gear must be able to be stowed.

    Fortunately, most of the wall space in a berthing compartment are storage compartments. Anything stored under the bed will need to be secured to the bunk. I don't recommend storing anything under the deck plates or above the overhead panels.

    In some ways, they're like Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy, only less implants. Their skeletons have been modified at a genetic level allowing them to stand up, modifications of paws to form hands that can manipulate, craniums expanded in some cases to allow development for human-level intelligence, vocal cords for speech (which can be a problem for some chimaera lines as they can't gulp down large chunks like their wild brethren).

    But mammary glands were not thinned out and repositioned on the chest. Sorta like Kung Fu Panda, only nobody's modified a snake or insect yet. Because the changes are genetic, chimaeras breed true.
