A Grand Fantasy Adventure
In ancient forests, archdruids commune with nature spirits and open portals to the land of the fae. In craggy mountains, dwarven strongholds fend off orcish invaders. Mad mages make pacts with devils, cultists sacrifice the innocent to appease their draconic deity, sailors watch in terror as krakens and aboleths the size of the sea itself rise from the inky abyss.
Sounds great, doesn’t it?
I’d like to start running a game inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, with the same general layout of races and classes, though in a way that works better for a text-based platform. I just need the players to go on the epic quests. Is anyone interested in a grand fantasy adventure?

*Will watch this thread with great interest.*
The final battle,
Pain, suffering; overcome,
by the united.

*Looks in back pocket stuffed with hundreds of character sheets*
Uhm... yea, one could say I might have characters prepared for any RPG style story setting. Speaking of, would this include actual organized character building and playing? Or strictly writing without game mechanics? I am aware some places do story RPs with game elements such as dice rolls and class leveling.

Pretty much narrative-only. The mechanics can provide structure, but ultimately they’re only guidelines. We’ll follow them for things like abilities and spells, to ensure smooth gameplay.
For instance, we won’t be calculating hit points and armor class and what have you, but when we hit “level 5”, martial characters will be able to attack faster and get more hits in while spellcasters begin learning the more dangerous spells.

I wish I could get notifications for any of such things being posted. This and things like this are what I would like participating in. I will gladly prepare something right for submitting to be included in this.

Good to hear it! I’ll start work on an OOC as soon as I am able.

Great, I will wait looking forward to starting with involvement in this sort of thing with it lasting well.
