Callie sighed and soon laid her stuffed animal down beside her and yawned. Though suddenly she was hungry. She then slowly got up and stumbled her way into the kitchen to heat herself up some nuggets in the microwave.

Jim drove home in complete silence, just staring out at the road as he tried to process what had happened. He still hadn't figured out how to tell Callie by the time he parked the car in front of her house, and killed the engine. Still, he had no other choice but to go inside.
Callie heard a the car pull into the driveway and smiled, stumbling to the door to unlock it, waiting on him to come in the door, bottle of whiskey in her hands.
Jim opened the door and stepped inside, looking up with a surprised expression when he saw Callie. "Uh... Hey, you, are you okay?" he asked softly.
Callie looked at him and shook her head. "No, I'm drunker than drunk." She said and opened the bottle. "Time to get you drunk too." She said and then started to kiss him, of course he would be able to taste the whisky on her lips. "I hope work went good."
His eyes widened a little and he dropped her purse as he kissed her back. When she brought up work, however, he broke it off and squeezed his eyes shut, looking down. "I... Callie, I d-don't... It didn't," he stammered, a little overwhelmed.
Callie smiled and then carefully walked to the kitchen to get him a glass to pour him some of his whiskey in a glass. "What happened?" She asked and brought him the glass, spilling a little as she stumbled back over.
Jim caught her by the arm and took the glass from her to keep it safe. He took a deep breath, staring at the drink, and then downed it in one go. He grimaced at the burning taste and shook his head. "....I got fired."
Callie frowned and looked at him. "You what!? Babe, we needed the money!" She said and then sighed before stumbling back to the kitchen to get another swig from the bottle.
Jim groaned and rubbed his face. "Yeah, Callie, I know that," he murmured, taking off his coat. "I'll find another way."
